"- and that's how you and your brother were made." Her dad finished as the brunette stared at the two adults with her mouth agaped, a disgusted look on her face.

"Ew." She blurted out, her lips turned in a frown and her brows furrowed.

"It's not something to be disgusted about, dear. It's a beautiful part of life." Her mother voices out softly.

She scrunched her face into a disgusted look, standing up from the kitchen stool that she spent 20 torturous minutes of her parents explaining to her how babies were made.

She slapped her palms on the granite counter infront of her parents. "Why does everybody keep saying that? She exclaimed, causing both of the adults to look at each other with a laughing look on their faces, already knowing that thus was gonna be the reaction of their 12 year old daughter. "What's so beautiful about five million worms crawling inside your body? That's disgusting and weird, I'm never having babies."

Both of her parents burst out into tiny cackles at their daughters reaction, "Well, you are still 12 - once you grow up, you will learn to appreciate it."

The girl nodded her head sarcastically, "Definitely." She quipped before walking upstairs to her room, "Let's hope I never grow up!"

The girl groaned as she tugged her red sneakers on, struggling to get rid of a disturbing image that burned through the back of her brain. She despised her parents as they forced her to sit down and listen as they tell her the "the birds and the bees" talk.

She's 12 years old, she's known about that talk since she was 8. But her parents didn't listen and still explained it to her anyways so she could "understand clearly." And ask some questions, but she's not that interested about the topic.

She tied her brown hair into a ponytail before grabbing a cherry lollipop from her bedside table and popping it onto the chest pocket of her blue overalls.

She saw both of her parents in the kitchen as she got down the stairs, gagging before shrugging off the disturbing thoughts that forced it's way onto her had.

"Mom, I'm gonna go hang out with Rafe!" The brunette yelled as she grabbed her blue cap from their coat holder before walking out of the house.

"You still have to do your homework, Kathryn!" She heard her mom yell behind her.

"I'll do it later, I promise!" She assured as she got on her red bike, hearing her mom yell a couple more stuff but she was too far away to blurt out what it was.

She saw her blonde best friend wearing gray sweatpants and a random white t-shirt, waiting for her as she pulled out of the driveway.

They paddle for a few minutes before Rafe realized that his friend has been awfully quiet the whole ride, which was rare, very rare since the girl would always babble about random stuff during their bike rides. "What's with the sour face?" He asked, worry irking on his body when he saw the frown on the 12 year old girls face.

He couldn't help but be concerned about the girl since the form of her face and her quietness as they paddled on their bikes made him think that she must have argued with her parents again since that was the only thing that could make her upset to the point she just goes quiet; not even the death of Mufasa on the lion king can make her shut her mouth, especially during bike rides which she always enjoys.

The brown eyed girl groaned, rolling her eyes since she was being unintentionally reminded about the conversation she was told about earlier, "I don't even wanna talk about it." She replied, the boy shrugged his shoulders and didn't bother asking more questions since he didn't wanna pry. If it was an argument about her parents then he knows that she never likes to talk about it.
