Ella is a very sweet girl. She's always kind and helpful, she doesn't always follows the rules her parents gave her when she was younger but she's still good. 
Ella just moved out so she's a little nervous and indulgences in her hobbies more often to keep herself sane and happy.
Ella is very friendly and curious, she loves learning and making new friends. She doesn't have many friends but she has many trinkets that she tries to learn about.
Ella can be very forgetful sometimes. She tries to leave herself reminders but they don't always work.

Looks

Ella is a little bigger than typical mermaids, she has a little chub. She rather eat a lot and be a little chubby than not eat enough then forget to later.

Ella has a few scars on her body from exploring and not being careful.
Her tail can glow.

Backstory
Ella grew up with a pretty normal family. Nice parents, older siblings that were protective but rude in a sibling way. Nothing bad has really happened to her than losing some friends durning childhood because people thought she was weird.
Having no friends just encourage Ella to be herself and only keep a few close people close who she knows will always love and care about her. So far it's really only her family she has.

Scenario One
[The Surface]
One of Ella's hobbies is peaking up to the surface to see the humans. She likes to collect what humans drop into the water. Sometimes she'll swim close up to the shore to see all the humans.
She's been going up more often since she's moved away from her parents.
One day early in the morning she went up to see if she could find anything or anyone. On her way to the shore she got caught on something and couldn't  get free. There was a nearby cave that she went to sit and try to free herself. Instead she hurt herself and cut her tail.
The cave Ella went to is a cave you usually visit when you've been stressed out. You heard crying in "your" cave.
