Three

"Tia come here right now " I hear the voice of my father calling out to me , dread gnawing in my stomach as I neared the kitchen.

I saw him greeting everyone and I scrambled to his front the smell of alcohol lingering and the knots in my stomach just became worse.

" How was your day at school" He asked while I took some steps away to distance myself .

"It was I mean it wasn't I mean"  I say stuttering over my words .

" Will you stop stuttering and say it right"

" Yes sir it was okay " I say quickly but loud enough. I go and help my mom to prepare and set the dining table.

I was relieved that he didn't do anything and night already graced us with it's presence .

I finished serving everyone when I stood awkwardly trying to find what to do .

"Tia dear come and eat dinner" she being Macy  said with a look of mischief and innocence mixed in her voice.

"Yes Tia take a seat " my mom said as she stood up to tuck me in my chair. She helped me to dish my food and sat back and I used my two hands to hold the cup I was served with water .

The chattering in the table continued as Macy and Noah argued over a celebrity, Trevor winked at me causing the sides of my lips to twitch into a  threatening smile as I know it was only sibling banter.

Dinner ended on a nice note as I cleared the table along with Trevor who offered to help .

"How was school" Trevor said while I looked at him with a duh look "trevvy... " I say in a testing tone " who asks how school is . Do you have a girlfriend yet? " I ask while Trevor just sighs saying  "It's complicated" .

"Ok tell tia the situation let her give you som advice " I say giggling that turns into a full  blown laughter.

I watch as Trevor turn in his room direction when I stop him and apologize ready to give him some solutions.

"The girl I like doesn't want to talk to me" he says lost in thought while I giggle and he opens his eyes for me to I see slight regret in them and decide to stop laughing at him.

"Why do you think that  trevvy baby " I say teasing him unable to help it and I just tell him to be sincere to the girl and I hug him .

After talking about random stuff he says goodnight and I just pout while he laughs it off saying he will speak to me tomorrow

" Trevor wait!!!! Goodnight "

I walk over to my room and feel the need to use myself so I go and do just that.

I hear the dripping sound of the tap so I go back to turn it off.

I hear footsteps from the living room.

I went to check what it was to see my step father. I am just going to turn back before he can notice me.

"Tia where do you think your going" he says stumbling over his words.

I get him a glass of water and hand it over to him which I think was a bad idea . He threw the glass against the wall and some if the shard scraped my feet.

He grabbed me by the hand and told me to kneel.

I knelt down and he picked one of the glass shards."you know tia you're very beautiful". He ran the glass shard on my arm." I'm going to show you how beautiful you are to me".

He left the sitting room and I used the opportunity to crawl." Wher do you think you're going to". He came back with ropes and he just tied my hands.
