WASTED

On my 20th birthday, I am overjoyed because my dream will come true. The tables, the seats, and everything else. For my birthday, inaayos nila. When everything is done, pumunta na'ko sa kwarto para mag-prepare.

I'm wearing in a basic dress and a pair of heels that my mother gave me. Then I started to feel bad.

"Elise, dito ka lang ha may titignan lang ako doon." Sabay turo ko sa direksyon na aking pupuntahan.

Alam Kong hindi tama ang gagawin ko pero hindi ko matanggap na sya nalang palagi ang perfect sa mga mata ni mommy at daddy.

"But Ellie, I can come with you naman diba? Wala akong gagawin dito."

"Hindi ka pwedeng sumama! Even though we're twins, I'm still older than you. Kaya papakinggan mo'ko dahil ate mo parin ako!" Sa gulat ko ay naitulak ko sya at nahulog sa gubat.

"E---e---lie" pinilit Kong abutin ang mga kamay nya ngunit nahulog na talaga siya.

Umuwi ako noon ng tulala at hindi mapakali. My parents were unaware that we were together at the time. I act as if nothing has happened.

"It's time, Ellie." Mom knocked on the door.

Pagkatapos Kong mag-ayos ay pumunta na'ko sa venue. My birthday went off without a hitch. Then it's my turn to express gratitude. Someone showed up.

A tall and skinny young lady. Her blonde hair gives her, a  doll-like appearance. Pointed nose.  Yung mga nanlilisik nyang mga mata. And her hassel brown eyes. She wares that look like my dress--"Same dress right?" She spoked.

Everyone has their gaze fixed on her. At hindi lang ako basta makapaniwala. She has a slight resemblance to me. Don't tell me it's Elise? No! She's already passed away.

Kitang kita sa kanyang mga mata ang galit at poot. "Hi mom, hi dad!" She smile widely.  Everyone gasp.  No freaking way! Why now? Why is she alive?

"You all seem to be in good mood. Aren't you glad I'm still alive as well?"

My mother embraced her. "Are you actually Elise?" She was in tears.

"I have something for you, mom." she said as she handed my mother a phone, which was connected to a projector that was playing a video. I'm at  lost on what to do. She approached me and slapped me.

"How could you?" Hindi ako makagalaw sa kinatatayuan ko. Si Elise kitang kita ko sa kanya ang saya at galit sa nakikita nya.

"M--mom" konti nalang talaga ay maiiyak nako. " How could she be Elise?" Hindi ako naniniwalang si Elise sya. May ebidensya ba sya?

"Paano mo nagawa sa kapatid mo Yun?!" Then she slapped me twice. Mahapdi sobra at hindi ko na mapigilan ang maiyak.

The cops arrived and handcuffed me. "No! I'm not the one who did it! She was the one who set me up!" I screamed. But no one else seems to hear me.

Elise walked up to me and slapped me as well. "Thank you for making my life much harder and miserable!"

The wish come true that I'm looking forward turns out like this. I thought I'm going to inherit all of our assets.

I was sentenced to six years in prison. At noong nakalabas na ako, humingi ako ng tawad sa lahat ng taong nasaktan ko. Kinain ako ng inggit, galit, at kasakiman kaya ko nagawa ang mga bagay na yun. Alam kong hindi nila agad ako mapapatawad pero sinusubakan kong itama lahat ng mali. Hindi man ngayon pero hindi ako susuko na humingi ulit Ng tawad sa kanila. Sila nalang ang meron ako at Hindi kona sasayangin ulit Yun.

You will face many defeats in life, but never  let yourself be Defeated.
