Ariel could not believe the news headline:

Leon Waltz sells off failing skincare business!

It was, of course, a bait, for the business itself was not exactly failing but it was sold less than what he purchased it for from the original owners. Despite Ariel's attempt to help resurrect public interest in it, the improved sales did not match up to previous succeeding years and Leon did not want to tie such good products anymore to his dwindling reputation. Moreover, he did not see it profitable anymore even after paying off its debt and taxes, and was not willing to pump more money in. He was confident the new owners would rebrand and market it a lot better than he did. All in all, he was tired of stressing himself out over it.

She felt sorry for him and wondered how he was doing, so she texted him.

Ariel: I heard you sold your company

Leon: Yup

Ariel: I'm sorry

Leon: Why sorry? I feel free!

She was surprised by his response.

Ariel: Really? Why's that?

Leon: I've been so stressed over this business for so long that to be finally rid of it is freedom. U know the saying, the higher u're up, the harder u'll fall. So I hit rock bottom, but I'm not drowning. Still have my health, learning to appreciate the little things in life, even not wasting food. Farmers work too hard [shows a wefie picture of Sky sitting next to him on the dining chair, with their plates of food before them]

Ariel laughed at the photo.

Ariel: Cute But I thought u're a business-savvy person (hurray to not wasting food, btw!)

Leon: I still am, but I'm tired. Working towards my next goal (thx for reminding me how wasteful I'd been)

Ariel: And what's that?

Leon: To be debt-free

Ariel admired his responses.

Ariel: Sounds great! That's why I never own a credit card

Leon raised his eyebrows in disbelief.

Leon: Seriously? You never have one, till now??

Ariel: Yup, except for my company's credit card which is strictly for business expenses only. I don't like being in debt. Was forced to sell my childhood home bcos of the debt my parents' incurred

Leon: Man! Really need to learn a thing or 2 frm u. U're my inspiration, u know that?

Ariel smiled.

Ariel: Really?

Leon: Yeah. To be debt-free n alcohol-free - I wish I could do it as easily as u do

Ariel: I always thought rich people don't have to worry about finances

Leon: Actually, lots of rich people are in debt. We use debt to create more money. It's called good debt. Unfortunately for me, debt's no longer working in my favor

Ariel: Sorry to hear that. Anyway, I'm so happy & proud of u 👍👏

Leon: Really? Ur support means everything 😀

Ariel: Good 2 know u making a good change esp. for those around

Leon: I'm not changing for anyone, doing it for myself 🕺
