Chapter 25

As the interrogation continued, it became more of a catching-up talk with a friend. Elena already has the information she needs to appease (Y/N) and stop him from executing Cere.

Elena waved goodbye to her friend and gave her a promise that everything will be fine, to which Cere nodded, but uncertainty still clouded her.

Elena sighed in relief, "That went well." She chuckled, opening the door. There stood Deborah, smiling at her.

Deborah was skeptical about adopting Elena at first, but as she watched Elena carry her own weight and help around the Kingdom, her heart eventually softened.

"I'm glad it went well, Elena." She said, hearing Elena's mumbles with her heightened senses, "And you even managed to keep her restraints on." Deborah clapped.

"If it isn't a hassle to ask, what's with the binds? First, it was (Y/N), ordering me not to remove it, now you, congratulating me." Elena asked. Deborah chuckled and pointed at the Tyrants.

"Creator ordered those Tyrants to keep the girl locked for the safety of our Kingdom. And once Creator gives them orders, they will follow it no matter who breaks them, friend or foe." Deborah explained. Elena chuckled nervously, thankful that she followed the warning.

"Well, let's go. Creator sent me here to see your progress and told me to bring you to him once you're done." Deborah said, clasping her hands together. Elena stared back at the room.

"Don't worry, Elena. I'm sure nothing will happen to your friend." Deborah assured. Elena smiles at her and starts walking to the Laboratory.

"Don't let anyone lay a hand at that doorknob other than Creator. If someone does, make sure you beat them down but not kill them." Deborah commanded the Tyrants, assuring Elena more about her friend's safety.

"What did you acquire from your friend?" (Y/N) asked, closing the door behind him. It houses most of Umbrella Corporation's greatest minds right now.

"Well. I know it was Cateline who led her to attack the Kingdom. Her reason was the rumor that you'll be executing me soon." Elena answered, telling him what she got from Cere.

"This Cateline is really a manipulative one." (Y/N) mentioned, "What about me, what have they found about me, or the Kingdom?" (Y/N) asked.

"Nothing so far. The only things they knew is your Kingdom here, the extension near E-Rantel." Elena reported. (Y/N) nods and acknowledges the answers.

"That's good." (Y/N) said, patting Elena on the back, "Well. I'll be finishing this experiment, and we'll continue the meeting..." (Y/N) said before stopping.

The ground shakes lightly, garnering the attention of the Viruses. The three run out, Elena wishing it wasn't her friend trying to escape. As much as she wants her friend to be free, making an enemy of (Y/N) is the worst idea she'll have by far.

As they all step out, the tremors are confirmed to be emitting from the Military Base Cere is held in, scaring Elena more. The stone wall burst open, and the young Viruses all jumped out, followed by the four Tyrants.

"I fucking knew it." (Y/N) said, shaking his head in disappointment. He commands Deborah to take care of it before walking back inside.

"Elena. How about you rescue your friend before she becomes a casualty. Here's the key." Deborah ordered, being (Y/N)'s secretary is really taking a toll.
