The clock above Professor Yun's desk ticked as Sujin stared nervously at him.
"So...?"
Professor Yun held up a finger, signaling her to wait a moment. He scrolled through her camera quietly, before sighing. "Well it has potential, the theme has potential. I say go for it." he smiled. Sujin snatched the camera away from his hands looking at her own photos.
"Really? This is good enough?"
He laughed, patting her on the head. "It's a really creative theme, I've never heard of such a thing before. I'm sure this would be enough to get you in the competition and competing." She gripped the camera tightly, glad that her photography was good enough to join the competition.
"You have about a month, so I would start preparing your display as soon as possible, as well as looking into blowing those photos up into clear portraits. As for plane to Tokyo and hotel, the school is paying for it since you're being sent out as a representative as well."
Sujin nodded. "Thank you Proffesor Yun, for pushing me to do this. I couldn't have done it without you."
"Just make sure you don't let us down."
"I won't!" she bowed to him, walking out of the classroom. An actual competition. Her. Sujin never thought she'd be prepared in time, or even have the actual talent for it. It was easier to concentrate...with him gone. She stopped walking, standing in the middle of the empty hallway. It had already been a month since he left without warning. At first she was sad, regretting not spending more time with him. Then she was angry, throwing the note he had written in the ocean. After cursing him out very colorfully. The next emotion had been regret. Realizing what she had done, Sujin had quickly jumped into the water, fishing out the ruined letter. The only thing that Sehun had left her.
Destroyed.Reaching into her pocket, Sujin took out the letter. It wasn't even a letter. Just a piece of paper that had survived the tides while the rest had disintegrated. The only words she was able to make out was take care. The letters taunting her everyday, a reminder of what she needed to do because he wasn't coming back. So that's exactly what she did. Take care of herself.
Sujin tried her best to move on, focusing on her studies. Focusing on her life. She was grateful for her time with Sehun, it was embarrassing but she still loved him. Nothing about that changed, she was also happy that another thing didn't change since meeting him. Sujin walked out of the building, smiling at the figure waiting for her. Baekhyun was covered from head to toe like always. He always met her every Friday to talk about Sehun. To sulk together. "You're late!" Baekhyun teased.
"You really need to meet me somewhere more private, I'm not about to be Baekhyuns secret girlfriend scandal."
"Aish! Who says you're even lucky enough to be my girlfriend." He nudged her playfully. Sujin grinned, looking down at her camera. "The competition is this month."
"So I've heard, I'll try and make it! I promise" Baekhyun gave her a thumbs up, before lowering his hand and staring at her camera seriously. "You don't think he'd be there, right?"
Sujin shook her head, refusing to let a glimmer of hope enter her. "He's staying away from us, That's the last place he'd be at." she hadn't told Baekhyun that she could see Sehun without her camera. Sehun wouldn't have wanted him to let him believe there was a chance. They started walking, without talking to each other. An unusual act for Baekhyun. She noticed that the weather was warmer, it was still cold, but spring was peaking around the corner. Sujin could feel it by the way the birds chirped, and how the snow melted. Season will pass without him... she thought, looking at her feet as she walked.
