12 - Blossoms

Petals fell to the ground, creating a world of pink around her.

The wind blew, the sun hit her face. Feeling the warmth she closed her eyes. Sujin could hear people passing beside her, all there to enjoy the cherry blossoms that have bloomed. She smiled to herself taking it all in, the sound, the smell, the joy.

It was something she had never felt before, a state of pure bliss. She heard a couple children crying in the distance, but she didn't mind. It was small noise to a perfect sunny day. Noise that said she wasn't alone in this world. That everyone around her was living a different life than her. Yet all came together to enjoy the beauty.

She wanted to photograph it all.

Opening her eyes, Sujin smiled at the view before her. Sehun had been right, the river they had once been looking at together, now full and crowded. It was filled with people taking photos of the view. Pink and white lanterns were hung on the trees that would light up at night. The air was crisp and fresh. Sujin propped her elbows on top of the bridge.

This had been her third attempt in finding Sehun here, but hadn't had any luck. She didn't have many days left until the petals on the trees disappeared completely. Leaving her without any ideas once again.

Take care of herself... She promised herself that she would do that. Yet here she was following through with a plan her and Baekhyun had made to find Sehun here. If he even was here.

Sujin had made up her mind on the plane, no matter what. She won't forget him, she'll continue to help Sehun, and continue to look for him. They couldn't let him go through this alone.

Taking her phone out of her back pocket, she checked her messages.

Baekhyun: Good luck today! I have a schedule so I won't be able to go to the competition and cheer you on, but I know you'll do great!

It was expected, Baekhyun had ended up being so busy. He hadn't even been able to help her search for Sehun. Not that he would be much help since he couldn't see him.

Professor Yun: Make sure to be at the gallery in 30 minutes for final preparations.

Her heart clenched. She had been at the gallery the day before and all the displays had already been up. The competition was tough... She knew it would be, but looking at the types of photos some of the contestants had brought made hers look amateur.
Even for an amateur competition.

Sujin had to put all her faith in the theme now; her photos alone wouldn't be able to do it alone. She backed away from the bridge, pushing through the crowd of people.

Sehun wasn't here.

He might not even come at all.

A couple passed by, holding hands happily. Both of them watching the cherry blossoms, while drinking pink champagne with strawberries on them that street vendors sold. Not watching out where they were going. Sujin had to move out of the way for them. Lucky... she thought staring as they walked away.

It must've been nice, walking hand in hand with the person you love. Enjoying the beauty of nature together. She wished she could do that with Sehun. Sujin hurried to the train station, now knowing how it worked and how to get around. Unlike last time.

She wished she could turn back time.

"Yes! Yes! I got it just give me an hour, I'll be there." Baekhyun groaned loudly and dramatically before remembering he was out in public. He had to be secretive.
