“Marli…” She interrupted me.

“Ross.” I sighed.

“No.”

“‘No’ what?”

“We can’t.”

“Why?”

“It’s too late…”

“It’s too late for what?”

“Stop.”

“Am I supposed to stop?” She asked angry. “You’re the one who should stop! Stop acting like that! Stop acting like nothing ever hurt you. I feel the way how every word you say is hurting you. I just don’t understand why you do it… What’s wrong with you?”

I sighed again without knowing how to justify myself without seeming too stupid.

“What do you remember? Do you remember everything?” She asked.

“I don’t think so. I remember to meet you to when I’ve hit with my head and you meet my siblings and cousin. I don’t knew that was your brother fault but then when we talk alone, you show to me what happened. And after that, I don’t know anything else.”

“From there, you really don’t remember anything else?”

“No.”

“Then, you don’t remember when…” She stopped talk while looking at the ground. She seemed sad.

“I don’t remember of what?” Marli swayed her head negatively.

“Nothing.” She keeps looking the same way to the ground.

I didn’t believe it was nothing but I not even knew how I should talk to her to ask her what it really was.
She seemed to be remembering something – having a flashback. Maybe it was that ‘nothing’.

A few seconds later, she raised her head.

“Why you keep saying that you can’t?”

“Because I can’t… We can’t…”

“Why?” She asked with a weak voice.

“Forget it, okay? That’s my business, brothers business.”

“Brothers business? What are you talking about? You’re talking about whom?” She thought about a second. “Riker?”

I stayed quiet.

“What Riker have to do with is? What he have to do with us?”
