The Hearts Between The Darkness (Ross Lynch / R5)

Chapter 3 - "Nothing special"

(Marli’s POV:)

We heard wolves howling. As I already had predicted. I think this will not run well...

"It's wolves." Said the blond with green eyes "And now?"

"So we have the weapons. Easy." Ross said and I looked at him with wide eyes. He seemed like, he was looking for something. "Wait, where's my ..." He had a flashback. "Wait, don't tell me that I..."

"Yeah, it fell near the van when you began to run."

"And you didn't catch it?"

“Uh… No…”

"Nice! Then we use yours." Ross looks at Riker. "Where's it?"

"Yeah, about that... When I started running after you, I threw it to the ground. It may have been a bad idea." Sounds good to me, I thought.

"Yeah... Maybe..." Ross said emphasizing his words. "Fuck and now what?" Were heard the howls more and more closer until suddenly have stopped. They were dismayed looking at, perhaps thinking «So? They will not come or they are here around?», but I knew the answer.

Ross turned to me, but at the same time was looking at the place where the sounds had come. "Don't worry, everything will be fine..." Really? He's who should be worried more than me. But the fact is that I was... And for having noticed this he said that...

At the same second of this, between the shrubs, which are in front of us, and that the vast trees behind and at the sides of thereof, provoke some darkness, which thus didn't allow us to see what was behind, at least not to them, shuddered and we heard a noise among the sheets, therefore realizing that something was back there. Of course I know what it is. Are them.

(Riker’s POV:)

After hearing the noises from the sheets of the shrubs in front of us, there was a second or a few millisecond of silence, hearing only a few birds and then appeared eyes near the same place, shining. We couldn't see the rest of the body due to the darkness that had that place. First appeared a pair, then two, three, until appeared more eyes, the eyes color is like a dark yellow, but a bit more bright and orange, and are very fluorescent. At this situation, no one, myself included, had reaction, we just were looking at; Ross and I dismayed looking at and the girl looked at in a serious and deep way.

The many eyes approached up. They were walking forward slowly and finally away from shrubs, and therefore with more clearly, we saw. They were the wolves. They were a pack of wolves that slowly are coming on our way.

Ross and I were afraid because we don't know what to do because we don't have our weapons with us. Slowly we shy back a little, very slowly; Ross pulled the girl by the hand for her also retreat, as she was stopped.
