It's finally a fresh new week. I'm already at the office trying to be as positive as i can, though i feel a bit nervous entering Kollin's office but i managed.

"Veronica..." Kollin called me while reading some files.

"Yes... Ma'am?" She barely bothers me during working hours since she's always busy so i'm very confused why she called me.

"About Eros... How can i get close to him?" She whispered, with that my heart cracked again but I promised myself that i will make her happy no matter what.

"How about a 'friendly' date? I'll come with you to avoid suspicion." I gave her a wink and a smile brighter than the sun that's covering the emptiness i'm feeling inside.

"That would be nice." She smiled back adorably. This is why i do this, to see her be happy for once.

After our little chat, i walked away to do any remaining work that i have. I started to print and copy some files and began to arrange some of them until one person drifted into my mind and for the first time in years it wasn't Kollin, it was Eros. Eros Beckham that has stolen the heart of my love.

"Hey Veronica." It was Eros coincidentally.

"Oh hey. Need anything?" I said expecting him to say something work-related but he surprisingly didn't.

"Ah not really but i was just wondering what type of things Kollin- i mean Ms. Stevens like?" He asked hesitantly.

I was speechless for a moment. Is god really playing with me right now? The girl i like has a guy that she likes and coincidentally he's interested in her too and here i am third wheeling.

"Actually, we were thinking of going to the amusement park on the weekend so would you like to tag along too?" I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that my plans going well but thank god i guess.

"Yes! Of course, i mean it's good to know your co-workers right?" Eros said trying to contain his excitement, i giggled by his response, i guess it's good that she likes someone so genuine, i thought.

"Anyways, were going on Saturday, you have a car right? I guess you could pick up Kollin first since she's closer. Is that fine?" I asked, batting my eyelashes to make him say yes but of course he'll say yes. He just nodded with a big smile and left almost skipping his way out my workspace. That turned out well, didn't it?

It was the end of the day and we're all heading home now, i was already grabbing my things when Kollin called for me.

"Veronica, i need to talk to you about something." Shivers travelled around my body when she said that, did i do something wrong? Probably not but still. I entered her office very stiffly.

"I would like to ask you how your plan went? And um, is there something bothering you? Why are you so stiff?" She said with a soft smile, i released a relieving sigh when i heard that, she didn't have to be so serious about it.

"It actually went well, he's coming with us on Saturday, we're going in a amusement park." I proudly presented her my "accomplishment".

"That's nice." She gave me a smile, why didn't she seem happy? Well i guess she is but why isn't she excited? I shrugged it off thinking she was just tired because of work.

"I'm gonna go home now. Bye." I said ready to run outside of her office because of my tiredness.

"Wait. I'll drive you home." She immediately said after telling her i'm going home. She grabbed her keys but not her bag, i looked at her confused like a dog not understanding her owner.

"I'm staying over time tonight, i'll just drop you at home and don't even bother refusing my offer." She said leaving the office, i stood there unfazed.

"Come on!" She screamed almost halfway in the hall. I ran as fast as i can catching up on her.

Me and Ms. Stevens are now in he car and the aura of the surroundings cannot get even more uncomfortable so i decided to break the silence.

"Sooo, why are you staying up late in the office?" I asked even though i already know the answer just to reduce the quietness.

"Come on Veronica, you've been working with me for years, you already know the answer to that." She scoffed, why does she seem pissed off? Did i actually do anything wrong this time? I kept quiet and didn't reply to her, at this point i'm just thinking if i failed to do something that she asked me to do, or if i failed to do it right. Minutes has passed and she broke the silence.

"Were here." She looked at me blank faced, almost telling me to get out of her car faster, i unbuckled my seatbelt and opened the door, i stepped out and gave her a wave with a faint smile as a sign of goodbye and closed the door. My eyes followed her car until it took a right turn at the end of the road, i sighed at myself and went inside my apartment.
