Chapter 14

POV. Hermione
What was happening?
One moment he is kissing me and another moment he is gone.
I had to go after him, I needed to know why he was doing so weird.

He was already out of the room of requirement, but I still went after him.
I could just see him running around the corner.

Why did he run?
What was going on?
All those questions running trough my mind..
My mind set on finding the truth.
I need to know the answer.

So I ran after him.
He went to the 3rd floor.
That was the floor where almost no one came.
Why did he go there?

He went to the men restroom. Maybe he needs to go to the toilet, no no why did I follow him. He just needs to go to the restroom.

As I was walking away, I heard something trough the window of the restroom. It were words. Oh no-

Before I could finish my thoughts, I ran to the restroom. Without thinking I shouted

'Draco stop!'
'Don't do it!'

But it was already too late.. He had used a promise spell.

'What are you doing here, you filthy little mudblood?!'

'Wh-'
I couldn't bring out the words..
He used it, to hate me again. Why? He- We would do this together..

Why...
I got tears in my eyes. I couldn't believe, what he had done. Stupid Malfoy!
I just got to care for you and now you want me to hate you again. Fine as you wish.

'Nothing, I was only looking for Harry.' I said.
I don't want to tell him the truth. He did this, so he needs to figure it out on his own.

'Whatever.'
'you're a nuicance to my sight, go away.'

I ignored him.
I didn't look at him and walked away from his sight.

I walked to the Gryffindor common room.
As I walked trough the door I saw Ginny and Harry sitting on the couch.

I had still tears in my eyes which I held in. I looked at Ginny.
She looked at me with worried eyes.

'What happened to you, Hermione?'

Before I could answer her question, Ron came out of his room.
I looked at Ron, but he was not the only one who stood there.
He was with Lavender Brown. A girl, she had pigtails and she had a cute face as the rumors say.

I looked at them. I could feel the tears burning.
I don't know why, but I ran away again. I couldn't just stand there and watch them, they were coming out of Ron's room.
Who knows what they did?

But was that the real reason, why I had tears in my eyes?
Yes, I think I was jealous.. but it wasn't the only reason why I had tears in my eyes.
A part of me didn't want to think about it, but it was Draco.
He was also one of the reasons and especially him.

I don't know why, but I keep thinking about him.

As I ran away, I ran to the room of requirement. Why?
When I stood in front of the door, I hesitated to open it.
I pushed the door open. Luckily, no one was there.

I sat against the door, with my tights against my chest and my chin on my knees.
The tears running down, I just cried it out.

After I sat there for half an hour.
I wiped my tears off and went to the Gryffindor common room again.
When I stood at the door of the common room again, I hesitated.

Okay stop it! Just go in! I said to myself.

Once I was in the common room, nobody was there. Literally nobody..
Oh- wait they are probably in the Great Hall.

I don't really feel like going there, so I went to look in the cupboards to see if we still have some food there.
luckily there was a little cotage pie.
I had that left from last night and didn't want to throw it away so I took it with me.

As I was eating the leftovers of the cotage pie, I was thinking about Draco.
I couldn't get him out of my mind.

Maybe I should go to the library to look for a solution.
Every spell that I know has a solution, so this spell also needs to have one.
I know I said that he needs to figure it out on his own, but I can't just watch him die.
Dumbledore said I could help him, I am the light to his Darkness.

After I finished eating, I went to the library.
Once I got to the library, I looked for the answer.
I picked up several books and read a lot, but still nothing.

It was already an hour later and I hadn't found anything, yeah, a note with only the spell being cast.
Well that's nice.

Another hour later, I still didn't find something interesting.
I was really tired but I needed to find a solution.

'Hermione?'
'What are you doing here? It's already late.'

'Ginny..'
'I- I'll explain everything'

As I explained everything what happened, she wanted to help me with looking.

'I also don't know why Ron was with Lavender..' She said.

'Huh?'

'Oh you said you didn't know why she was with him and it was bothering you.'

'It wasn't really bothering me..'

'I can see it in your eyes, Hermione.'

'Oh..'

'But I see that you're more worried about Malfoy.'

'You could see that?'

'Yes I can, but I'll help you looking so you don't have to do it on your own.'

'Thanks Gin!'

'No problem, you're my bestfriend!'

I had a smile on my face.
So Ginny and I looked for the solution.
It took a long time, but we finally found something.

After 4 hours of searching together, we finally have something!

'It says that the only solution to this spell is a kiss.' Ginny said.

'A what?' I said.

'A kiss..'

'But.. just a kiss? nothing more..?'

'Wait, it has to be a true love's kiss.'

'Really?'

Shit! It has to be a true love's kiss..

'You need to go to him!'

'What? Now?'

'Yes! What are you waiting for? You need to try and kiss him.'

'And what if it doesn't work?'

'We will see that later..'
'Just try this now'

'Okay, I am going, but where?'

'Where does he normally go at night?'

'Maybe the Slytherin Tower?'

'Well, go there!'

'Okay, I'll come back here again after.'

'Good luck, Hermione!'

'Thanks'
I walked out of the library to the Slytherin, hoping that Draco would be there.
As I was walking the stairs up and down, I finally arrived at the Slytherin Tower.
In the distance, I saw a guy standing against the wall.

I walked to him, hoping it was Malfoy.
I got closer and closer, until I saw his face.

'Malfoy.'

'What do you want, Mudblood?'
I need to kiss him quickly, I want the nice Draco back.

I walked over to him, ignoring his question.
He looked at me with confused eyes.

I got closer and closer, until our faces were inches apart.
Before he could say anything, my lips were on his.
I kissed him.
