Match Made in Hell//Vex x Mania

One

(NOTE: This takes place before Vex's sanity was stolen by Amara, so he doesn't know who Mania is yet! The next chapter is after his sanity was taken. ;3)

Vex had just finished his job at Spiral Hill, heading home for the night. After a long day of dealing with patients, he was exhausted. He was walking down the sidepath, before seeing a certain trio of demons causing chaos. They were rather close to him, being no further than a few meters away from him. He went faster, a little nervous they'd see him and attack him as well. One of them was killing people with a mallet, something Vex didn't want to get involved with.

Before he knew it, that demon he had been staring at, the one with the mallet, crashed right into him, knocking both him and Vex to the ground. The demon laid on top of Vex for a second, trying to recharge. Vex felt a hand push into his chest, opening his eyes to see the purple haired demon sitting on top of him. Panic rushed through Vex's body. He thought he was surely done for. But the demon just stared at him, almost as if he was mesmorized by Vex. 

"E-Erm..." Vex stammered, "a-are you alright there?" he asked, trying to reason with the demon to further prevent harm. The demon put his face closer to Vex, almost curious about him. Vex put his hands up, ready to defend himself if needed. "Mania!" a female voice shouted from the distance. "What the fuck are you doing? Get over here!" another demon with purple and brown hair scolded the demon, who's name was apparently Mania. Mania got off of Vex, glancing at him one last time before continuing his genocide. 

Vex sat up, quickly gathering his things before he was crashed into. He wondered why that demon was so into him. And why he didn't decide to kill him at any given chance like he did with other humans that crossed his path.
