We start our story in the dead of winter in a keep of the Iron legion. A woman is currently having her first child her . Who husband is a high ranked lawbringers his name is Daniel . Daniel has been a lawbringer all his life upholding his vows all his time he is greatly respected . His wife who is giving birth , her name is Airelle .
Daniel P.O.V
It has been quite some time since I've been this ..... nervous ? I don't know why I am , maybe it is because I'll be a father soon and mine was not the best example to follow . Thankfully my dear Aire's father has been a great help in reassuring me .
( SCREAM )
I hate this . More than anything I wish I could take some of her pain from this event . Hearing her in pain feels me with rage unlike any other. I just hope it ends soon .
A few hours later
Daniel P.O.V
Her screaming it has ceased and some how that worries me more . I am contemplating what to call our child when one of the nurses comes to me .
N : Sir your wife has finished you may see her
D : Finally and the child is it well
N : yes sir a healthy baby boy
With those words I set off wanting to reach my child as soon as possible . ( Thoughts) a boy .... I'm overjoyed with this news . Though Aire was talking about having a girl ... maybe that will have to happen in the future . Finally here at the midwives chambers . I swing open the door and I see a sight i will remember for the rest of my life . My wife and our child looks so small in her arms it .... precious
Airelle P.O.V
It has been a long and painful event but it worth it holding Daniel and I's child in my arms was worth every second of it . I'm just laying here no thoughts ,no worries, just a feeling i can't place when I gaze down on him . I was already thinking up names for him even forgetting the ones i thought of beforehand . None of them worthy to be his name . That's when my dear dany throws open the doors to the chambers and stops and stare then he slowly walks over the tiny clanks of his armour the only noticeable sound he kneels by side and is silent then speaks.
D : Forgive me for not being hearing your cries of pain were to much for me to bear .
A : it is alright dany but i would like you help with one thing.
D : what ?
A: what shall we name him ?
7 year later
3rd person view
A mother is looking around for her son
She calls out to him bit he doesn't answer . All she can hear is the quiet giggling of her boy . She follows it out of the halls and into the garden look around not seeing anything then she has a idea . She pretends to have gone and when the boy comes out of his hiding spot she wait and when he passes his mother she springs from her own hiding spot and catches him . She picks him up and holds him up high for him to look her in her face and she says
A : gotcha my little acorn
Boy : Mommy wh do you call me a acorn
The child says barely containing his laughter
A : because like a acorn with the proper nourishment and love you will grow into a mighty tree and shade those f
Who need it . But come along Darren your father will be returning soon and he will be overjoyed to see you again.
Darren : reall daddy is coming home ?! I can't wait to see him again i wanna show how good I've gotten with reading
And tell him all the new words i know.
A : I'm sure your father will be most impressed by your skills my Boy but lets go freshen you up your covered in dirt .
1 week later
Daniel and his army just finished hold off several viking raids along the shores that he was given charge of so he could protect them . It hasn't been easy more and more vikings come with every attack soon he may have to ask for some assistance if the vikings do not let up. He was worried not only for his soliders but their families and his family as well . But that was these thoughts were for a different time for now je would focus on reliving some of his stress by being with his family . He wonders how much his boy has grown but he knows his question will be answered soon enough.
Darren P.O.V
Father will be home soon and it been so long since ive seen I hope he stays for longer but I knwo that is not going to happen . Father says the vikings are to eager to attack so they can hurt our people and take our crops and riches for their own . I don't like the vikings they are a bunch of bullys and I don't like bullys . Maybe father though can get them to go away he the strongest man in the world . Cause i remember father fighting 6 of his captains at one time it was really cool . He even one without any problems.
The gates started rising and father was the last one through cause my father said the commander should be the first and last one to come home so that he can say he never left someone behind . Rushed out with mother right behind me telling me to slow down before I trip . I found father quickly because he's not just the strongest but the biggest man I've seen . As soon as I saw him I grabbed onto his leg and was hugging him as hard as I can
D : what is this that has found its way onto my leg ? Could it be my dear boy ?
With that he lifted me up throwing me high into the air it was really cool . My mother didn't think so
A : Daniel don't just throw our son into the air !
D : the boy is alright. Right Darren ?
Darren : yeah !! Do it again throw me higher
A : No don't throw him higher !!!
D : Sorry boy but it seems your mother has spoken
Darren : okay :(
D : but im sure there is alot you want to show me right ?
Darren: can I mother?
A : of course you can just go one spend some time with you father .
And so I took me and father to look at at
Some of the stuff ive made and even told him some of the books I have been trying to read .
1 week later
It was the middle of the night when it began a large group of vikings broke up into smaller groups and followed Daniel and his army finally finding his keep. They gathered and launched a attack in the dead of night . The garrison was overwhelmed almost immediately with the only reason everyone wasn't dead because of Daniel and his personal gaurdians hold back the tide so that way the servants can run away with their children . At the moment Airelle is currently decked head to toe in plate armour you see she wasn't just house wife She was a warden but when she fell in love with Daniel she gave up her fighting days and decided to live with him . She is currently taking Darren to the escape tunnel to run while Daniel deals with with the main force . When out of nowhere a group of vikings find a way into the the inner keep and spot Airelle and her son .
Airelle knows she can't fight them all and protect her son so she sends him away and tells Darren to tell the servants to collapse the tunnel and that she and his father love with all their hearts . With tears in his eyes he runs and watches as his mother begins to fight the vikings killing a few quickly but is already starting to be overwhelmed. He tells the servants what he was told to tell them they obey without question . A family not knowing what to do with Darren decides to bring him along , not wanting to abandon their lord's son . It took some convincing but Darren came with the family and he then learned the names of said family Alexander the father , Julia the mother, Olivia the eldest sister, and finally the youngest sister Isabella . As they flee the keeps eventually they exit the escape tunnel and even from where they arrived Darren could the light from the fires that engulfed the keep he swore that he would never let a attack like this to ever happen again on his life
