Y/N Pov:
I walk down the dirt road, going back to Juzuki, the village I grew up in. I read through the first Angel Breathing scroll as I'm walking. 'Glad I took the second sword Anakin left me' I think as I read through the scroll.
My (Long/Short/Medium) hair sways in the wind as I walk. By the time I get to Juzuki Village, it would be dusk. I stare up at the bright blue sky as I'm walking, letting myself get lost in my thoughts. 'Will I even be able to use Angel Breathing anyways?' I think as I see the village up ahead, and the sun setting.
I walk down the to Juzuki, and I notice a lot of shocked faces, all familiar. As I'm walking, I hear a few whispers, "Its the demon child from 6 years ago!" "How is he alive? I thought he died finally" "That beast has the nerve to come here again?" are just a few of the whispers I hear. I make my way too Mr Iwato's small restaurant. When I was just about to open the door, I hear a shout. "UMAI!" I jump back in shock.
I open the door and- "UMAI!" I hear another shout. The vibrations are unfamiliar to me, so he's not a villager. I walk inside and see someone sitting at a table with lots of bowls stacked up, and a man with cool yellow and red hair. I go and sit down at a table. "UMAI!" I hear the man shout as he takes a bite out of some curry. "Well well, if it isn't little Y/N" I hear a familiar voice. I turn around and see Iwato's daughter, Izabella. "Can I get a bowl of curry?" I ask and she laughs. "I would rather feed you pig barf you demon child" Izabella laughs as she walks away.
I suddenly see someone setting a bowl of curry In front of me. I look towards the person, and its the guy that was shouting. "Uh- Thank you" I thank to the stranger. "Its no problem, but why would she treat you so harshly? Do you know her?" He asks as he hold another bowl of curry. "I used to live here before I became a Demon Slayer, I'm Y/N L/N" I say as I take a bite out of the curry. "I'm Rengoku Kyojuro! The Flame Hashira" He Introduced himself as I nod.
"My former master was a former Hashira" I say as I continue to eat. "What breathing Technique did they use?" Rengoku asks as he sits next to me, continuing to eat. "He was the Feather Hashira" I say while staring at my curry. Rengoku suddenly goes silent. "So your the student Anakin talked about!" Rengoku suddenly shouts while grabbing both my hands.
"He told me you were highly skilled, and always aware of your surroundings. He said you were also a quick learner, making you very easy to teach! he was very proud of you!" He told me what Anakin said about me, making me flustered out of embarrassment.
"I uh- thanks..." I stammer out as Rengoku lets go of my hands. "So, you got the message about the demon here?" Rengoku asks me and I nod. Rengoku takes one last bite of the curry, "UMAI!" Rengoku shouts, startling me quite a bit. "Well, lets get going!" Rengoku says to me while standing. I follow him out of the restaurant and notice way less people outside, most likely there asleep, or inside. "The report said the demon has been targeting chefs" Rengoku reminds me as we walk down the empty street.
"Why did you decide to be a demon slayer?" Rengoku asks me, making me think. "I guess at first, I wanted to escape this village, but over time, I guess it was to make Anakin proud" I say looking up at the night sky. We both suddenly hear a loud crash coming from Mr Iwato's restaurant. Me and Rengoku rush over to the place and see what's going on. When we get there we see Izabella on the ground, sobbing and shaking while a demon stands over her, holding Mr Iwato by the hair.
"Demon slayers?" The demon mutters looking at the 2 of us. "No matter, I'll kill the old man and this girl!" The demon laughs menacingly. "P-please, help me" Izabella sobs out a cry for help. I quickly get into a stance. "Feather Breathing, Second form, Feather rain" I mutter.
I jump up really high with a trail of feathers behind me. I aim at the demon, however he holds Iwato up as a human shield, but I continue down. "Your really gonna kill an Innocent ma-" The demon was cut off by me landing behind him, quickly turning around and slashing his neck from behind.
"W-what?-eh-" The demon's head mutters as the head and body disintegrates, dropping Mr Iwato. Rengoku runs up to me, "That was very impressive! you stopped your technique just before you slashed the old man and manoeuvring around the demon, saving the old man!" Rengoku cheers as I scratch my neck. "e-eh..." We hear Izabella get up, looking guilty.
"I-I'm sorry Y/N...and...thanks for...saving me and my dad..." She mutters as I look at her with slight shock. "Its no problem, I hold no harsh feelings towards you" I say with a smile and she seems shocked. "But what I've done to you!? Don't you hate me?!" She shouts while tears stream down her face. "I was told, as a last request, to not chase revenge" I tell her while turning away. As I walk away Rengoku walks beside me.
"So, where are you going to go next?" Rengoku asks me and I just shrug. "Wherever the road takes me I guess" I say while looking at the sky. "What if I train you!" Rengoku declares pointing at me. I look at him dumbfounded, 'What? he wants to train me?' I look at Rengoku who just has a dumb smile on his face. "How about this, If we cross paths again, you can train me, I still wanna travel around." I say and he just nods in excitement.
Rengoku and I split way and wave each other goodbye. "Caw Caw!" I hear my crow flying towards me, ready for my next mission. "There have been reports of demons in Asakusa, a major city. go and search for them" The crow tells me my next mission. I nod and it flies away. As I walk towards my next destination, The sun starts to rise once more. "Why do I feel sick? Is it the city, or something else?" I ask myself as I walk towards the city. I'll reach the city at sunset.
'Why do I feel like I'll meet more than what's there?'
