There was smoke and debris everywhere. "Are you okay?", Miranda asked his mother.
"No my leg is stuck." It was a large metal piece laying across her lower leg. Miranda tried to lift it up, but it was too heavy. "Uuugghhhhhh", she grunted trying to move it.
"Miranda stop, go save my son. I'll be okay."
"I can't leave you here like this", Miranda cried.
"There is plenty of people here to help me, but only you can save Benjamin."
"Okay...", Miranda wiped her face. "I'll be back I promise."
"I know you will!...."
As Miranda was driving through some woodsy area her phone was ringing. "Hello."
"You know I really underestimated you. Who else are you capable of saving?"
"I don't have time for your mind games James. This isn't a game, people's lives matter."
"TELL THAT TO YOUR HUSBAND! Now you will play whatever game I say to play."
Miranda was fed up, "No more games! We play by my rules only now. My husband better be okay", Miranda said before throwing the phone out of the window.
She stopped the car when the head lights were on Ben sitting on the ground tied up to the tree.
"BENJAMIN", she stopped slamming on the breaks and getting out of the car running over to him, but huge lights flashed on her. "Not uh uh Dr. Bailey....Benjamin is sleeping", he said over a loud speaker.
"What did you do to him?"
"Benjamin this and Benjamin that. All you've been worried about is him, him...him and I'm sick of it. You're just as selfish as he is."
"Benjamin wake up baby!", she said stepping closer again, but stopping when she saw a venomous snake slithering around Ben's legs.
"See I know you so well Dr. Bailey...", he laughed. "I always have a plan b."
"BENJAMIN WAKE UP!"
"Miranda!", he opened his eyes slowly looking around. "Where are we?"
"Benjamin don't move there's a snake by you."
"Miranda!.....Benjamin don't move there's a snake by you", James said mocking them both. "You two make me sick."
Ben tried moving around, but he couldn't get lose, the snake was steady moving back and forth.
"Miranda I'm sorry for not believing you", he said putting his head down.
"I know baby, but I'm right here."
"Sorry Miranda, you're out here in this same spot and all you have to say is that you're sorry Miranda!", James yelled pissed. "She doesn't even know does she Benjamin? Do you even remember where we are Benjamin?"
"Know what?", Miranda asked.
Ben looked around as much as his head could without hurting so much. "That's right keep looking until you realize you're at the exact spot you and Michael let my brother die."
"Benjamin?", Miranda said looking confused.
"Miranda I can explain."
"NO...NO...NO....THIS ISN'T ABOUT EXPLAINING TO MIRANDA. This is about you and Michael putting my brother in harms way making him into a vegetate state for the rest of his life, my parents became broke because of the medical bills, then they divorced and left me to choose between the two every other weekend."
