Pt.1 Explore

Sophie was in her room reading a baseball book about babe ruth.
" Sophie hun we have lived here ever since you were a kid go and explore" .

Her mother called out " But mom"she said dragging the word. " No buts go and explore live do something other than reading."

" Fine !" Sophie said sternly sophie walked over to her closet to gind something comfterable to wear she found a brown outfit that matched

She put it on " Alright bye mom" she said she grabbed her black backpack and and put it on it was around 4 pm she found a sandlot with a bunch of boys and one who didn't know anything about the sport.

She saw the ball heading towards him as all the boys shout at the boy she caught the ball and pitched it to the picther " Hey kid you gotta watch you're surroundings ".

She turned around and all the boys were in shock on how she pitched the ball and the postion she stood in while doing it . She locked eyes with the tallest who seem to be the eldest out of them all .

" And you watch where you hit number 1 rule of baseball idiot "

( idk if thats actually true but lets say it is )

She started to walk away when she felt a pair of arms around her " ah!" She looked a little down " Thank you for saving me ". It was the who almost got hit with the ball. " Uh yeah no problem kid".

He let go of her " Im Scotty Smalls i just moved here." He said holding his hand out " Im Sophie Barnes and ive lived here since i was born " she replied shaking the kids hand .

The kid walked away after a bit . She was walking towards the Drug store when she felt a firm finger tap on here shoulder she turned aroud to see the idiotic boy from earlier.

" Hey !" He said smiling at her " Hi do you need something?" She asked " Uh back at the sandlot. How did you know about the main rule of baseball?"

" I mean its pretty obvious." She replied walking into the store " Well yeah but do you play ?". Sophie turned around to look at the boy how was about 4 inches taller then her. " First of all i don't know who you are and Second of all yes i do play ".

" Oh im sorry i didn't introduce myself , Im Benjiman Franklin Rodriguez but Benny for short " he stuck he said sitting in a booth in the diner. Sophie sat Across from him .

" Ok Rodriguez im Sophie Barnes " she replied looking at the menu " Thats a new name ive been called" he said looking at her.

He couldn't take his eyes off of her. He thought she is so beautiful and brown looked amazing on her. " Hey Rodriguez take a picture if you like your view." She said snapping him out of his thoughts.

" Oh uh sorry " he said rubbing the back of his neck she laughed at his actions. " So um do you have a boyfriend ?" Benny asked her . It caught her attention.

" No i don't do boys, The only things i care about are Books,Baseball and My mother." She said locking eyes with him.

" What about you Rodriguez You got someone special ? Cause you aint bad looking." She asked " Nah i don't the girls who have asked me out are too girly always wanting to go shopping take pictures or cuddle ."

He said " They never want to play a sport and get their hands dirty , And the girls who do are already taken by somebody." She nodded she understood what he meant.

" You're not wrong all we care about are make up and dresses." She sarcasticly " I didn't mean it to make it sound like every girl is the same. Trust me girls are all different and beautiful."

She smiled " Wow finally a guy who gets we arent all the same." He smiled back " Sorry for the delay Im your waiter Sally what can i get ya ?"

" I'll get a Bacon hamburger with fries and ranch on the side please." She said handing her the menu " Would you like coke or pepsi?" She asked " Coke will be fine thank you" . "Alright And for you?" She asked Benny.

" I'll have the Bacon cheddar hamburger with fries and a ranch as well And a coke will be alright ." he replied " Ok i'll get that out as soon as possible" she said grabbing the menu from bennys hand.

" So..." He said catching her Attention " if you want to get to know me ask away " she said looking at him " Ok Well do you play on a actual team ?" He asked playing with his fingers.

" Yea i do but my teamates can be assholes" she replied rolling her eyes " What team do you play for then?" he asked with a questioning look . " I play for the tigers since my mom is a ric-" she got inturppted by Benny.

" The tigers?!?! " he asked with an upset look on his face " Yeah why are you so upset- ?" She asked then in clicked in her brain . " Sorry Rodriguez im leaving " .

Benny was phillips worse Enemy. As much As Sophie found Benny attractive she didn't realize that it was benny the her boyfriend hates.
" Sophie wait!" He grabbed her hand " No , Rodriguez leave me alone!!" She snatched her hand back and left.

She walked home and ran into Phillips " Hey baby are you okay?" He said hugging me " Yeah im fine but I ran into Benny and he tried to sugar coat me with his looks ". She added he rolled his eyes " Damn it ! Fucking hell i'll deal with him tomorrow okay?".

" Can i come with please?" He nodded she kissed him he kissed her back . They said their goodbyes she got to her door step and opened the door with her mom on the couch.

" MOM! Im never leaving this house ever again you won't believe who i ran into."she plopping next to her mother on the couch. " Sophie don't be so dramatic !" Her exclaimed.

" Mom i ran into Rodriguez and he fooled me into actually having a lunch date type of thing." Her mom looked at her " Like the Benny Rodriguez!?!" Her mother asked " Yes mom that Rodriguez" she rolled her eyes.

" But he'd be perfect for you " she exclaimed " Mom he is My boyfriend's enemy " Sophie answerd " Oh right you're dating phillips " her mother said in a normal tone. " Don't be so excited for me mom". She replied as sarcastic as she could....
