What doesn't matter is how I dress-
With granny pants and big, baggy shirts.
What doesn't matter is how I look-
With no makeup to mar the true beauty of my face.
What doesn't matter is how I talk-
With shy and quiet words.
What doesn't matter is how I think-
With never-before-thought-of-ideas.
What doesn't matter is what people may say of me-
With people forever gossiping.
What doesn't matter is what people think of me-
Because I already know what I think of myself.
But what does matter is...
What I say, what I think, what I do.
What matters is...
What I believe, what I love, what I hate.
What matters is...
What I know, what I want to know, how I act.
What matters is...
Not what other people think or do or say,
But what I have done...
To make the world I live in be a place
Worthy of life and living.
