His eyes stared at her eyes, then at her lips and again at her eyes making her nervous. Her heart was doing marathon as she bit her lips.
"R__Ro__"
Aditi tried to speak but no words came out of her mouth. He was affecting her badly.
"Answer me"
Rohan raised his hand and cupped her face.
"I__I don't know"
She inhaled nervously wanting to make a distance as she didn't want him to hear her wild heartbeats.
"Liar; you know everything"
He took his hands back and got up from his place. He rubbed his palm over his face in frustration.
"You were so desperate to marry that leech and destroy your life. I warned you many times but you didn't listen to me. You were so desperate to throw me out of your life and break our friendship. Why? Do you know how hard it was for me to get all the information about that bastard with the help of my friends? So that you can see the real truth about that bastard. I wanted you to know you can never be happy with that man"
Aditi frowned hearing him. Rohan did all these? Why? She didn't tell him to do anything for her.
"Why do you care?"
The sudden question made him silent as he turned towards her.
"What?"
"I asked, why do you care so much for me? I didn't ask you to do all these, then why?"
She questioned looking at him intensely so that he could understand his own feelings.
"Because I'm your best friend"
And that word broke her heart again. Was she still just a best friend for him? The emotions she just saw in his eyes weren't true? Did she just imagine all these herself?
Aditi fisted her palms controlling herself.
"Then stop caring for your best friend this much"
Saying so, she turned her face to a side and slowly laid on the bed without looking at him.
Rohan got angry hearing her sentence and sat on the mattress which was placed on the floor still glaring at her. Why did she behave rudely with her sometimes? What was his fault in this? He only wanted her to see the reality. He only wanted her to be with him forever. Yes, he was becoming selfish but he didn't have any other choices. He couldn't let her go away from him easily. Why couldn't she understand the simple thing that he needed her. He needed her for whole life.
Sleep was far away from both of their eyes. Her eyes were holding tears as she remembered her parents. Within a few hours, she lost both of them and became an orphan. Why fate played so cruel in her life. A lone tear dropped from her eyes which she wiped it off harshly.
She turned her body around and with the corner of her eyes she saw Rohan who was sitting on the mattress joining his knees. His arms were locked with each other and his back was on the wall. His eyes were closed but she knew he wasn't sleepy.
Her heart cried as she recalled their previous moments when they were in college. Their lives were so beautiful.
'Will he ever understand his feelings, will be ever understand how much she loves him?'
The questions arose in her mind which she didn't have any answers and after sometime she too closed her eyes.
An hour passed and the sudden lightning and thunderstorms broke his trance. Rohan raised his eyebrows and glanced outside the window as he got scared. He squeezed his eyes tightly and started chanting Hanuman Chalisa.
Another sound was heard and he ran towards the bed without wasting any time. He laid beside her and slowly cuddled to her holding her hand.
Rohan pepped his head and gazed at Aditi. He huffed seeing her sleeping soundly and closed his eyes.

It was the next morning when he was sleeping peacefully but suddenly he got up with a jerk.
"Aaaaaaaaaa"
A loud yell was heard as he immediately put his palm on the person's mouth.
"What are you doing? Are you going to wake everyone up with your screams?"
Rohan scolded Aditi who was screaming loudly after seeing him so close to her.
She glared at him and indicated to remove his palm as he did the same.
"How dare you do that?"
"What did I do?"
He asked confusingly rubbing his ears.
"You touched me"
Aditi glared at him.
"So what? Did you get dirty by my touch?See I touched you again"
Rohan poked his finger on her arm as she yanked his hand angrily.
"You touched me bastard"
She gritted her teeth.
"Where?"
She pointed down there as he gasped.
"Show me"
He was going to lift her lehenga but she slapped on his arm.
"How dare you touch me?"
"Arey galti se lag gya hoga. Bhadak kiyun rahi hai? Khazana rakhi thi kya wahan pe?" (Maybe I touched it accidentally. Why are you getting angry? Were you hiding any treasure)
"Shut up!"
Aditi pushed him hard but gasped when he pinned her on the bed and hovered over her.
"Stop hitting me"
He leaned closer as she pressed her head more into the pillow.
"Y__You are invading my personal space"
She tried to voice out avoiding the eye contact but he was in no mood to listen to anything.
"I can do much more than that"
He whispered making her gulp.
