Hey before i start i just want to make an announcement: I don't know much about Finley Burns but i'm going to add him in. I'm going to change his age to 16 rather than 18 and i'm going to make him come on loan.
Again i've tried to get as much information about him as possible (not in a creepy way) but i didn't get much so i'm just going to make up stuff as i go along
CHAPTER 10
"two of you work with the speed ladder and the other two keep the ball up, don't let the ball touch the ground. I will shout when to switch"
Liam and i go to the speed ladder and Callum and Shea stick to the ball work.
"You nervous for Saturday then?" Liam asks me as i finish my run through the ladder, him waiting to go next
"I'm okay, i'm always nervous about games but i'm feeling quite good about it, what about you? How you feeling?"
"I'm nervous i was talking with my Grandad up in Scotland earlier on but he told me not to be nervous, all my family up there watch our games whenever they are on. You've got good words said about you on Sky Sports by the way" he smiles to me finishing his run
"Really?"
"And there she is Remi Foden. Outstanding young talent. Youngster Youth of the year and i can definitely see why, she's been with Manchester City since she was just four years old and signed for Man City when she was nine. I'm telling you that girl is going big places i tell you"
"That's what people are saying on Sky Sports Rem" he tells me with a smile
"right guys, cones into a square shape. One touch only. Each of you go to a cone and just pass it around the box. I don't want to see any balls flying about the place"
We all walk out to the places we were working before and start with the task. This is my personal favourite it's easy and calm and we can have a good laugh about with it
We do a few more drills with the speed ladder and we do hurdles, running in and out with the cones and take turns with penalties
It's now 4:30 and drills went on for a little longer then usual but we're going in for a snack right now. We always get a half an hour break, just to get a quick snack, a drink and cool down before we go straight into games.
Since we only have an hour left after training we play 20 minute half's with a 5 minute break between. It's short but sweet but we always have enough time.
We are all just sitting in the canteen just chatting away, some of us catching up on homework and some of us playing card games when Brain walking in with a fairly attractive boy
"okay boys and Remi i would like to introduce you to Finley Burns he have him on loan until next season i trust you guys will make him feel welcome" He smiles
We all introduce ourselves and we invite Finley to sit down at our table
"So Finley where are you on loan from?" Callum asks him
"Burnley"
"Ohhh the clarets" i smile
"yes indeed. My mum and dad just moved to manchester so i live literally two minutes away from Etihad"
"got any brothers or sisters?" Liam asks him
"a younger sister, Freya. She's a big fan of you Remi. She says you're the reason she started to play football" he tells me
"awh that's so cute"
"What's your team then?"
"I am a city fan" We all cheer and he laughs, i definitely think he going to be a good addition to the team
Brain gave us a little longer for break so we can get to know Finley, he's really close with his sister they have an age gap of a year, he goes to all they city games home and away and his favourite player is Kyle Walker. He seems really nice and i can't wait to train with him tomorrow
