Chapter two

Third person's POV

Kaneki couldn't stop running, even if his lungs were telling him to. He just didn't listen, his eyes were overfilling with tears. Every memory he had, every moment he had, with him. The man he love, the man he had killed, because of his god damn ghoul side. Kaneki didn't know if he was being followed, and honestly, he didn't care. His mind was too filled with Hide, too many moments he wanted so bad to relive. So many moments he wish he had talked to with him. Too many regrets, that's when he finally heard someone. He WAS being followed, he really didn't care if he was going to be killed. He actually wanted it, to be able to be reunited with Hide. But, alas he couldn't afford to do that. He had GOAT to lead, to be that beacon that fought for Ghouls and humans. So, he forced himself to stop. Waiting for whoever was chasing him to catch up, that's when he could see from the corner of his eye he was about to be jump kicked. The person did, and he moved out of the way. Then grabbed the attackers leg. That's when his red-from-tears eyes saw a scarecrow looking thing, it was moving around, trying to get out of Kaneki's grip. It looked up and went still, as if paralyzed. " what happend to all that spunk?" Kaneki asked, his tone was dark, and unpleasant. He was having a bad mood right now, and this scarecrow wannabe wasn't helping. The mask slowly started to fall off, and when it did. Kaneki's eyes widen, it was......Hide, but, his face. It was teared off, or some of it was. Hide's voice box thing spoke, indicating he was speaking. "Kaneki, nice to see you again." He let out a crooked smile. Kaneki's tears returned, and were falling out nonstop. He set Hide down and fell to his knees, hugging Hide. But also covering him in his snot and tears. He let out hics, and whines, and even cried out some small screams. All normal crying things, Hide just smiled his new crooked smile, and patted his back. He could feel Kaneki's grip on him, it was tight. Yet,..gently, as if afraid if he let go, Hide would go as well. Hide then heard some foot steps, and he saw their owners. It was a boy and a girl, he knew the girl, but the boy ...was new. " Who the hell are you, and why is teach crying on you?" They asked, their tone dark and trying to intimate. " Hide, you...died...how-?" " easy, I didn't really die. You just let Kaneki believe that." Hide replied, in a scary bittersweet tone. His grip tighted on the crying half ghoul, not wanting to have to hide from Kaneki again. " oh,..well give him to me, he has an organization to run." She said, stretching her arms out. Hide didn't get the chance to answer, Kaneki had picked him up and ran once again, Shocking everyone. " K-kaneki/Teach!" Were all he heard before he ran away from ear shot.
