-Jake's POV-
As soon as me and Hailey finished singing and the music stops, I feel a pull at the collar of my grey shirt. But before I could comprehend my situation, Hailey pushed her pink lips against mine.
My eyes stood in shock, not wanting to close. Everyone is watching us and I feel uncomfortable. This doesn't feel right.
Hailey pulls away from the previously forced kiss and gave me a flustered face. I only spared at glance at her before my attention was brought to Drew.
He stood past Hailey at the edge of the stage with tears streaming down his face. His expression was pure shock mixed with a heart broken sadness. And I couldn't help but feel it was my fault..
I see Drew scrunch up his face as he cry's more heavily. He runs off to the side in a blink of an eye, and completely disappears. My legs with out thinking move quick, I drop everything and push Hailey out of the way as I run in the direction of the side of the stage.
I make a sharp turn to the left as soon as I could. Following the earring sobs, of the friend I care for most. This whole time he's been saddened of something I wasn't aware of. He's acted different these past few weeks, but somehow now his deepest emotions have found a way to escape Drew's tight grasp. Of pride. And stubbornness.
I chase after him and watch as he dramatically slams the exit doors open. I catch the door just before it closes. Drew bolts for his car, not looking behind him.
"Drew!" I need to stop him. "Drew please stop!"
"Go away!" He screams at me as he slows down subconsciously.
"No Drew! We need to talk!" I scream as I catch up to him.
-3rd person POV-
Drew is running through the heavy rain in the dark of night. They're only source of light illuminates from the yellow streetlights. With washing sounds of cars passing every minute or so.
He runs and cry's until his fragile weak body couldn't no more. He's scrawny and strained from all of his overwhelming emotions as they pour out of him. Such as the world around them.
The blonde notices his holt but doesn't think for a second to stop his chase. He has to help Drew no matter what. He swears to stand loyally by his loving friend, who yes might not seem like the best to others, but always means well in the end.
The taller quickly runs towards the weaker. Immediately pulling him into a hug of meaning, support, and love. He doesn't know what his dilemma is, but he definitely knows it must be big considering the damage it has done.
To Drew of all people.
Someone Jake thought of as tough or intimidating. Never letting anybody notice they're fall or weakness. And always having they're guard up. But turns out not everyone can hold it up forever.
Jakes arms latched underneath Drew's, and held him tight. The blonde could feel Drew's damp sobs as they melted within his wet shirt. Drew not holding back a tear as he eventually starts to embrace his friend back. Now letting it all out.
They stood there in the storm, with only each other on they're mind. One dim streetlight hung above, and noisy cars were driving.
