I couldn't believe he would say something like that to me. I just couldn't believe he would say something like that to me. I wanted so bad to believe he was different, but he wasn't! He was like the a$shole I knew he could be it just took some time to come to the surface. I exited the elevator trying my hardest to keep the tears from my eyes and walked past Shelly. She gave me an odd look then put her hands on her hips.

Before I could even reach the door she was rushing to the elevator. Unsure if it was anger or curiosity that made me stay I watched as the elevator stopped on the top floor. Without thinking I ran up the steps two at a time.

Exhausted I finally reached the top clutching my chest trying to control my breathing. I exited the staircase and creeped to the door pressing my ear to it.

"Shelly please I'm not really in the mood for this right now."

"I know its probably a bad time but, I can't wait any longer. Its been so long since I wanted something so bad please give it to me. Let me..."

He groaned and I squeezed my eyes shut. I wasn't hearing this. No, please this can't be happening.

"Shelly, I.."

"Don't you dare tell me no, I've worked for you for years. Forgave you for what you did to me, you will give me this!"

"What did I do to you but gave you a job, I will not give you Rain. She is mine and I won't share. I see the way you look at her but I will not give her to you!"

"What, I don't want her, I want you! I've wanted you since I began working here. I love you can't you tell. I couldn't believe that was the tramp youve been stalking for the past year. I want to be yours, I want you to love me."

"Wait a dam minute, how do you know..."

"The man you were paying is my father. "

It was silent for a long time then I heard the screech of a chair. Footsteps and then he spoke.

"Kneel!"

I heard her shuffling.

"You.... You are mine now. I will .... I will...love you and I will take care of you. Happy?"

"Oh yes Rick. Now let me service you."

"I don't want.."

"Daddy will take her back."

I heard his belt and zipper becoming undone and her sigh of approval.

No longer able to control myself I opened the door.

Shelly was kneeling before Rick as he stood over her holding his limp di€k in his hand. Shelly looked over her shoulder at me and winked then turned and grabbed him. He slid away shoving her off and she stood angrily. She turned prepared to speak and he grabbed her placing his hand over her mouth.

"Rain please leave I can explain later."

"You will tell me everything now!"

Shelly got out from Rick's grip and smirked at me.

"Well?"

"Rain, I'm sorry. I... I love you I just.."

"Rick, no more lies just tell me."

"I first saw you a year ago working at your corner. I wanted you since then. I followed you, watched you service men to make sure you were safe. I needed you but you seemed content with whoring so I didn't think I could get you to want me.

So I.... I.. I went to your motel when you were out one night. I'm the one that made him raise the rent. I hoped that would push you to leave then I would save you but you stayed. Then I made him raise it more and when you couldn't pay I paid him to do despicable things to you but you still stayed.

The night you were robbed that... that was me. I figured you finally had enough and came to you. That was the first night you met me.

I've tried to give you everything. I've tried to love you and you can't even love me back!"

I couldn't say anything, I couldn't think, I couldn't breath right. He was a monster there was nothing to justify what he did.

"I'm sorry I ever met you."

"Rain please don't you understand, can't you see I did this because I love you."

"Your crazy, I'm done here."

I turned and walked away. The tears had long since stopped. I wasnt angry or sad just numb. But I knew one thing for certain no one would ever love me.
