Chapter fourteen

Lucy's POV
I'm jostled awake by Lily and Ivy who have massive smiles on thier faces.
"What?" I ask suspiciously while slowly getting out of bed.
"Come downstairs" Ivy says wearings a Cheshire cat grin proudly. I scrunch my eyebrows together in confusion, then it hits me what if they did something about today being my birthday?!
"Hey guys, is it something involving today being my birthday?" I ask them.
"Maybe, maybe not." Lily answers smirking and not holding in her giggles very well. I groan softly, it is about my birthday! I walk downstairs to see the lights are off, I brace myself for the worst by habit in my prison of a house dark=bad. I scrunch my eyes closed and I hear someone flick on the light and yell "surprise!!" I slowly un-scrunch my eyes and look around. Sirius, Remus, Peter, Ivy and Lily had made me a mini birthday party. I slowly smile and make my way down the stairs slowly. I walk over to the pile of presents and ask,
"For me?"
"For you." Ivy impersonates my style of speach
I smile and walk around the common room Best first birthday party ever! I smile when I see cupcakes
"I always wanted to try cupcakes!" I say excitedly that causes them to laugh and Remus to look at me surprised and ask,
"You've never tried cupcakes?"
"No." I answer shyly
"Well then, try one!" Lily orders me
"O-ok" I stuter would it by as good as I expected it to be? I hope so.
I pick one up and cautiously bite into one with vanilla icing and chocolate chips on it. I sigh in pleasure after I swallow and exclaim,
"This is SO good!" And quickly bite it again causing them all to stifle their giggles.
"Do you want to open your presents?" Lily asks me smiling. I nod quickly in answer and grab a paper plate to put my cupcake on. I walk over smiling and sit on a chair. Ivy brings me over her present first this is way better then at home/prison. I quickly tear open the wrapping paper and gasp at what's inside a big, cozy sweater!
"Ohmigosh! I love it!" I squeal and hug Ivy I immediately put the sweater on over the T-shirt Lily let me borrow that was to big. The sleeves were a little big on me, the sweater was a pretty maroon kind of color and it was really soft! It looked like it was knitted too! I sit back down on my chair and Lily brings over her present next it was a small box with a little bow tied on to it. what could it be?
I quickly slide the ribbon off the box to find a gold charm bracelet with 8 charms one a book another a witch hat third a cat charm fourth a fox charm another the Gryffindor crest sixth a owl seventh a cursive L and lastly a crescent moon charm. I immediately put that on to and thank Lily. Next Remus brings over his its in a box also but the box is wrapped too I quickly tear off the wrapping paper and look inside the box. Chocolates! I thank Remus and eat one savoring the delicious taste. Peter brings his present over next looking shy, his is in a bag. I give him a smile and take the bag. I open the bag to find a black fox stuffed toy. A smile breaks on to my face and I say,
"I've never had a stuffed toy." I hug it to my chest and thank Wormtail.
Next James's present. I open the present to find a new school bag it was pleather and broken and rucksack style and I love it! I thank Prongs happily and put the bag down by my feet. Last but not least Sirius comes over carrying a pile of presents I smile looking him and the presents over. He passes me a present it was one of the charms books I was looking at! He then passes me another after I stick it in mpy NEW book bag. I take Sirius's next present and open it another book I was looking at also about charms, I put it into my book bag. He passes me one after another and they are all charms books I was looking at. I smile and say,
"Thank you so much guys!"
"Don't thank us yet!" Sirius says mysteriously. Then he walks over and grabs a small basket... Holding a

KITTEN!!
I squeal in delight and hug her.
"Ohmigoish guys thank you so much!" I thank them excitedly then Lily says,
"Watch this!" Then the kitten changes her fur color to rainbow and I gasp.
"She had a spell cast on her to make her able to do that!" Ivy explains well might as well tell them about what I can do!
I quickly change my hair color to match my kittens fur, rainbow.
They all gasp in surprise and I smile and scratch my kittens head.
"You... You can...change your hair color!?" James exclaims I nod and giggle at their faces.
"That is so cool!" Lily and Ivy say.
"what other colors can you do?" Remus asks me,
"All of them."I answer shrugging still petting my kitten. Then I remember the Halloween ball
"The Halloween ball!" I gasp standing up my cat sitting on my shoulder licking her paws. The other girls gasp and we all head off to get dressed.
