Helluva Boss: The Kid

In the IMP building, Blitzo was briefing Moxxie, Millie and Loona on their newest target.

"Ok so this guy should be easy to kill. Name's Jeff L/N. Our contact said he was a dick and was someone who would cheat in everything just to piss people off. We got the location and everything, so let's go." he said and Millie opened the portal. They arrived at a small detached house.

"This looks like the place. Ok let's go in!" Blitzo said with a smirk before Loona stopped him and pointed to the ground. Blood was spilling under the door. She knelt and gave a sniff

"Fresh blood. Someone's just been killed." she said. Moxxie peeked in through the window and saw the body of their target.

"Damn...someone's been here already!" he said with sadness. Blitzo was angry and kicked in the door with his rifle drawn, only to stop short with a shocked expression. In front of the body was a kid holding a machete stained and dripping with the blood of the target. Blitzo also noticed the kid had several cuts and scrapes on his body and several things were broken.

"Your blades took everything from us, now they've taken you!" the kid snarled at the body before glaring at Blitzo, who backed off. Millie walked up after having just surveyed the area.

"Did....the kid do this?" she asked and the kid nodded.

"I hated him. He was my own dad and he took EVERYTHING from me!" he replied. Millie knelt to the kid.

"Well you got some talent, how'd ya like to come with us? Get paid to kill?" she asked. Before the kid had a moment to reply, his eyes fell tired and he fainted, right into Millie's arms. Storing the body in a bag, Blitzo carried it back through the portal while Moxxie and Millie were tending to the kid who had fainted. Loona meanwhile was still on her phone as they reentered the portal back to the office. While Blitzo and Loona went to tell their contact the deal was done, Millie took the kid to another part of the office. After cleaning his wounds, she set about bandaging them with Moxxie's help. Soon the kid began to awaken. When he saw Millie, he began to panic. He noticed a pan nearby and reached for it but the pain of his wounds caused him to scream out. Millie gently hugged him and stroked his hair.

"Hey now, it's ok. You're safe." she said as the kid whimpered.

"D-don't hurt me please." he begged but Millie just kissed his forehead.

"We won't harm you. After all, we saw how you killed that man. You're gonna be alright here, with your new family." she said to Moxxie's shock.

"N-new family? We're seriously not adopting him, are we?" he asked in concern. Millie glared at him.

"Mox, come on. The kid said it himself, his dad took everything from him. Why not give him a new life, where he can be paid to kill as awesomely as he did when we saw him." she suggested. Moxxie left the room, rubbing his temples.

"Blitzo is not going to like this...." he muttered to himself. The kid looked at Millie and suddenly hugged her.

"W-will you be my new mom?" he asked and Millie nodded happily.

"Of course I will, sweetie." she said as she hugged him back before gently laying him on the bed and helping him recover from his wounds. She stayed with him the entire time as he recovered, feeding him food and getting him whatever he needed. The kid's name turned out to be Y/N, and Millie thought that name suited him. She giggled as Y/N touched her horns and laid next to him on the sofa, holding her new son close. Moxxie went to Blitzo's office to tell him about the kid.

"Umm...sir?" he asked nervously. Blitzo looked at Moxxie with a glare

"The fuck is it?!" he asked. Moxxie cleared his throat and rubbed his head.

"Um...about the kid...Millie.....kind of....adopted him." he said at last. Blitzo was shocked and angry.

"She did WHAT?! That kid's just gonna be one big fucking hazard to the company! No fucking way! She is NOT adopting him!" he shouted. Loona walked past on her phone.

"Little too late for that." she said emotionlessly. Just then Millie walked up with Y/N over her shoulder. She giggled as Y/N played with her tail.

"Millie, you need to get rid of the kid!" Blitzo said. Hearing that sent Y/N into a panic and he squeezed Millie's tail, causing her to gasp in slight pain.

"N-no, I don't wanna leave my mom!" he said in fear. Millie gently rubbed his back before turning to Blitzo.

"Look Blitzo, this ain't your call! The kid WANTS to stay with me, so he's staying. Like it or not!" she said, finishing her explanation with a glare. Blitzo sighed.

"Ugh fuck sake...fine. But if the kid causes trouble, I'm throwing him out the window!" he said before going to get a drink. Y/N slowly let go of Millie's tail, and she took him off her shoulder, showing him to Moxxie.

"Now Y/N sweetie, I want you to meet your new dad, Moxxie." she said happily and Moxxie nervously waved.

"Uhh..hi?" he said, only to be caught off guard as Y/N hugged him. Moxxie eventually got over his shock and hugged Y/N back, softly rubbing his back and taking care not to touch his bandaged wounds. Y/N yawned and Millie gently took him to the sofa, slowly laying down and letting him sleep in her arms. She softly kissed his head and held him close as he slept peacefully. Moxie silently put a blanket over his wife and adopted son before continuing his work. Maybe having a kid wouldn't be so bad after all.
