Together the two were happy. They found peace and love.

They never had any problems their life was perfect. Sure things outside of their world was terrible but, in their world it was amazing.

He bumped into her, running away from someone. He apologized helped her up. Little did he know she was running away too. Together they both ran til dawn. They laughed with each other, drank with each other, and even trusted each other.

But these things take time, she was not very trusting at first. No, she could not trust a random man that bumped into her on the docks.Oh no she honestly did not care how kind he was to her, she would not let that man into her heart.

Or so she thought.

They bumped into each other once. Then twice. Then a third. And maybe even a fourth. But each time she got to know the man a little more, and he got to know her a little more. Soon they become friends. But since they were little, they could not know the entire meaning of love. He wanted to go out and explore the world. She didn't mind, she left with him for a while. Soon things got to dangerous for her, he left her back at home promising that he would come back and visit as much as possible. She didn't mind and still they only remained childhood friends.

Although, she always wondered what it would be like being with him. Laying with him, eating with him, play with him, living with him. But she soon realized that she did all those things and yet, she could not accept her feelings for her best friend. Until she told herself that both wouldn't be living for too long. They were both wanted. So the next time he came to visit, she confessed. She let her emotions run wild. She told him everything. Even if he didn't return her feelings, she felt that it was the right thing to do.

No surprise he returned her feelings. Together they were. He took a small break from adventure and enjoyed his time with her. They took there time with each other, day by day, step by step. Together they always were.

But one day she found out that she had gotten pregnant. She cried tears of joy. He cried along with her. Soon they would have another person to add to their precious world. Sadly the man had to leave. He could not risk her or the child inside her. He packed his things said his goodbyes and left. Little did they both know, that indeed would be the last they saw each  other.

His illness was a curse some would say. Most of his family died thanks to it. It would always be passed down to every son, but every wife the son married would soon follow their lover. He did not hate it , no he just merely disliked the timing. He had only months to live. He would be executed exactly a few months of his child's due date. But he knew that his woman, his wife would surely protect their child.

She had gotten a note from him. Talking about all that's going to happen. She cried. She cried her heart out. She knew about his illness. She knew it all. But it never came this early. Could the gods really not want them together? She did not care she would carry her child as long as she needs to. She would protect their child at all costs.

It was his time. He was in his knees head lowered looking down at the town he grew up in. Many cheered for his death. One asked a simple question. He laughed this question would throw this world into chaos. He answer the man simply. Those would be know as his final dying words. He would be recognized as the man who died with a smile.

She saw what happened she would sit on the cliff. Watching the sunset, tears in her eyes. She looked at the sun as if blaming it for the felt of his death. But she could not dwell there for to long. She couldn't be caught not now at least. She would hold it in for a bit longer.

It turned into almost over a year of her due date. But she was finally able to let her hold out. She had a son. She cried happily, she could not believe she had a child with the man she had loved the most in this world. She held her child carefully. Slowly moving his hair out rod the way. He had his fathers hair. The rest looked like her she couldn't be happier. But she knew, her body would not last any longer. She fought until she could see the sunset one last time. By then her child was asleep in a man's arms now being Carried away she watched the man walk with her child. The baby who Carrie's his blood. That would be the first and the last time she saw her precious child. Her legs could no longer bare it. She had walked back to the same cliff. She looked at the sunset. She started to bleed she felt her heartbeat slow down. She watched the sunset slowly fall. She asked one question as if talking to her lover and child.

"The sunset. It's beautiful. Isn't it dear?"

She asked even though she knew no one would answer she had to ask. She was imagining her child and her lover both looked at her and nodded . She felt at ease seeing that at least her child would continue to live on and not follow his parents. She took her final breathe and fell.

No one every found her body. All they found was a pile of blood on the edge of a cliff.

That is the tale of Portages D Rouge and her Husband Gold D Roger.
