Stray Kids were told that they were headed to a 'surprise shoot' and as some of them were excited others weren't quite as happy about this being a secret. Jisung in particular was excited, he felt energetic since he woke up, expectation buzzing through his whole body. He was happy that they were going out after weeks of continuous work. His mind could use a different dynamic.
These past few days he felt the need to cry, not because he felt sad but because he wanted to lessen the building pressure in his head from stress, but he couldn't. He just couldn't get a single tear out and it made him feel even more stressed. Chan knew all of this since the younger rapper had gone up to him and talked about his problem to the leader, he felt relieved that he told someone. Chan on the other hand had been watching the younger closely making sure he was okay. He felt the need to talk to him more but he never got the chance and now instead of relaxing at home they were going out to who knows where. Don't take him wrong, he loved going out with the group but the fact that Jisung wasn't feeling his best made him feel slightly annoyed at the company for taking one of their off days to film and make it a secret.
The leader observed Jisung carefully from the corner of his eye, he seemed excited. Maybe he was overreacting.
After an hour had passed the driver announced their soon arrival. The road was rocky under the car's tires, small trees surrounded them and they could hear waves crashing in the distance. 'Maybe we're going on a boat' the rapper thought.
Why would they go to the beach so close to winter? It's not like it was snowing but it was getting colder these days and Jisung couldn't imagine himself enjoying swimming in this unstable weather even if the sun was shining above them.
The car stopped at a tall white building with sets of windows on each floor, it was thick at the bottom, thinned out in the middle, and thickened at the top again. Looking up he saw a round platform with railings at the border and from what he could barely see, the very top of the building had a pointy type of shape. He had seen this before and he wa-
"We're going bungee jumping?!!" the youngest of the group shouted excitedly.
As Jisung looked up at the high platform he felt anxiety creep up his neck making him slightly shiver "...guys I don't want to."
"Come on Jisung! It'll be fun." Felix teased "Plus, you need the fun."
'I need the fun' he repeated in his head. Yeah, he did...It'll be ok, it's not like he would jump and the cord would snap, or the employees would forget to fasten something. It's not like he would slip and fall off the edge before they got a chance to adjust the equipment, they wouldn't forget anything...right? His mind raced, his thoughts a jumbled mess leaping into the abyss filled with desperation, fear, and doom. Oh no, he'll surely meet his end at the feet of that high building. He was sure of it!
He didn't recall being dragged to the elevator and heading up with his bandmates, how was he up there?
With his mouth slightly open in shock he looked around, his friends were there, talking to cameras and showing around; smiles plastered on their faces. He had to say something before it was too late.
"Guys I don't think I ca-"
"Here" Changbin handed him his equipment rushing him "I was going second but I think you should take my spot. If you don't think about it much and just go it'll be over sooner."
He looked down at Changbin's hands softly pressed to his chest holding what he supposed was some type of straps meant for their legs. He then looked up expectantly but to his distaste, Changbin took his hands and made them hold the straps.
