Chapter 7

Bruce was able to lower the force field from the Quinjet so they could land and not be seen by anyone. Steve missed Willa alot and he hated that she was alone for so long.

The last time he saw her she had kissed him and told him to leave. Now its been two years and he wondered if she still remembered the kiss. Did it mean anything to her like it did to him? Would she even recognize him with the beard?

"Cap, Did you hear me?" Rhodey asks.

"Im sorry what?" Steve questions.

"I said Banner and I will go first. To many people at once might scare her." Rhodey says.

"But I..." Steve says.

"We know you want to see her, but let us go first. Then we'll call for you." Bruce says.

Bruce walked off the jet with Rhodey behind him and they followed the sound of what was classical music.

When they approached the area they saw her, Willa. She was just staring at the old radio and seemed to be talking to herself.

"Willa?" Rhodey questions.

"Oh that was a new voice." Willa says.

"What?" Rhodey questions looking at Bruce.

"Willa, hey..." Bruce says.

"Ohh another one. New voice friends." Willa says.

"Okay.. What is happening?" Rhodey asks.

"Willa, we arent voices, we right behind you." Bruce says.

Willa slowly turned around and she had a good look on her face. She didnt seem normal at all. She seemed lost and distant just staring at them.

"Ohh.. Thats new. Its like you'r real people here." Willa says to them.

"My mind is clever." Willa says turning back around facing the radio again.

"Willa, we are real, we are here. And we need your help." Bruce says.

"Help? I do not help. Willa no help. Willa doesnt know you." Willa says.

"Willa, you do know us. Come Wills its me. Uncle Rhodey, I've known you since you were a baby." Rhodey says.

"Thats nice. I'll let Willa know you came." Willa says.

"But you are Willa." Rhodey says.

"Not anymore. My voices say so." Willa says.

Rhodey pulled Bruce with him the other way so Willa couldnt hear.

"She's lost her damn mind." Rhodey says.

"She's been alone for so long she doesnt know whats real. Look you go get the others I'll talk with her more." Bruce says.

Rhodey went to get them and Bruce walked over to Willa. He lightly tapped on her shoulder and she turned around to face him.

"Oh hello again. Are you lost?" Willa asks.

"No. Willa listen to me okay. A bad guy is coming and he wants to hurt Vision and destroy half of the universe." Bruce says.

"Thats nice." Willa says going over to a plant to water it.

"No Willa thats not nice. We cant let this man do that." Bruce says.

"Okay. Have fun stopping him." Willa says.

"She isnt herself. She confused or crazy or something." Rhodey says entering with Steve and Nat.

"She's not listening. She said it was nice that Thanos was coming to destroy everything." Bruce says.

"Than-toast. Haha thats a funny name." Willa says.

"What the hell is wrong with her?" Nat asks.

"I dont know. She thinks we're voices and not real." Bruce says.

"Wee." Willa says just spinning and leaping around.

"Okay, we tried. Lets go." Rhodey says.

"Hang on. Let me talk to her." Steve says.

Steve went over to the girl and stopped her from leaping again. He made her face him and this time she wasnt as nice.

"No! No touch me! Willa doesnt wanna be touched!" Willa yells at him.

"Willa, its me Steve. You know me. Come on Captain America, Im your... Friend." Steve says.

"Let go. They say you're a bad man." Willa says.

"Who says that?" Steve asks.

"The voices do. They said sexy people cant be trusted." Willa says pushing Steve away from her.

Steve didnt know what to think, Willa was clearly not herself and he didnt know what to do. He did know that they couldnt leave her there.

"Willa, you have to come with us. Now, its a matter of life or death." Steve says grabbing her arm.

"No, Willa must be here alone. If Willa is alone then she can be a good Willa." Willa says to him.

"We cant let the bad Willa hurt people again. Willa has to say here. The voices say so." Willa says.

"Willa there is no bad Willa. Okay? You arent bad. But we really have to go." Steve says to her.

"I cant." Willa says.

"Why not?" Steve asks.

"Because the voices say so." Willa says.

She pulled away from him and went the other way. Nat walked over to Steve and gentle tapped his arm.

"Just stand behind her okay." Nat says.

"What are you going to do?" Steve asks.

"Just trust me." Nat says.

She walked over to Willa and stood in front of her and waited for Steve to be behind Willa.

"You know Willa, I liked you better when you werent being crazy and weird. Talking to your random voices." Nat says.

"Oh the voices are real. And they make the rules." Willa says.

"They make you rules. Not mine." Nat says.

Nat used one of her shocking chips knocking Willa out and making her fall back into Steve's arms.

"Okay. Lets get going." Nat says heading back to the jet.

Steve lifted up Willa and carried her back to the jet. Once they all were on Sam started it up again and they were now heading to Wakanda.

Steve though sat with Willa as she laid on the ground. He couldnt help but blame himself for her losing her sanity. As he looked at her he knew he would never be leaving her alone ever again.
