The Tale of The Mystic Mermaid (Power Rangers Mystic Force)

It All Just Gets Better and Better

It was finally quitting time. The rangers decided to take a visit to Root Core. They began their journey through the forest. As usual, it was never just a simple walk.

There was a small crack of a branch. A sudden rustling in the bushes caught their attention as well. The a figure jumped out from hiding, causing the teenagers to jump back and scream. The figure screamed as well.

"Oh, Phineas!" Nick put his hand over his chest as he tried to catch his breath. "It's only you..."

"Yeah...only me.." The Troblin shrugged.

"You really have to stop doing that!" Vida rolled her eyes.

"Eh...sorry.." Phineas looked down. "Anyways. You heading off to Root Core?"

"Yup!" Chip nodded. "We're done with work. So we thought we'd visit Udonna."

After a few more minutes of talking. The rangers and the Troblin said their goodbyes for now and headed off.

Madison sensed something different in the air though. It wasn't good either.

"Um...guys.." She stopped and looked around. "I think something's following us."

"What do you mean?" Vida turned around and looked at her sister with a bit of concern.

"Like...something's near.." Madison continued to look around.

Before anything else could be said, a large blast came from nowhere. The blast caused an explosion, which sent the teens flying in different directions.

Madison's vision went a little blurry. As did everyone else's. It was not long before their world went black.

"Maddie.."

"Maddie.."

"Huh?"

"Maddie!"

"What?" Madison jolted up with a gasp.

She quickly looked up and saw her sister and...Nick.

"You alright Madz?" Nick asked as he helped her up.

"Yes..I'm alright." She nodded. "What happened?"

"That's what I would like to know.." Vida muttered as she rubbed her forehead. She was still a little groggy.

"I think there was some sort of explosion." Nick sighed.

"Wait?" Madison's eyes widened. "Where's Xander and Chip?" She quickly looked around.

"I've only managed to find you and Vida." Nick shrugged. "I have no clue where they are."

"Well we have to find them!" She quickly stood up. She stumbled a little as she did so.

"Woah! Careful!" He helped her stand straight and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm okay." Madison assured him and walked over to Vida. "You alright Sis?"

"Yeah." Vida nodded. "But my head hurts like crazy."

"Hm." She inspected her sister's forehead, and found a small bump. "You probably hit it on something."

"Wonderful.." She muttered and crossed her arms.

"Help!" Two voices echoed in the distance.

"What the?" Nick looked around.

"Help!" They called again.

"That sounds like Chip and Xander!" Vida gasped.

"Well come on! Let's go!" Madison quickly ran ahead with Vida and Nick following close behind.
