Chapter 6

Oh my gosh I am so so so so sorry! I haven't updated in a month.

Okay, a couple of things to read:

1. The Slytherin Darling, by @OohIntriguing. Harry Potter fanfic. Set in Jade's world. What I mean by that is that Jade actually exists. Set in 5th year though so it may contain spoilers ^.^

And without further ado, let me present to you Chapter 6 of Jade Evans, Death Eater....

Here's a tip: Don't have Divination in your last period of the day. It makes you imagine all kinds of weird things that you wouldn't see usually.

Kaya, Holly and I were seated around our table as per usual. Professor Trelawney has announced that we would be studying crystal balls again this term, but 'in greater detail'.

Holly peered into her cystal ball and then turned to us with a fake-worried expression on her face. "Oh no! It looks like my crystal ball reading abilities have faded over the holidays!" In unison, Kaya and I snorted. "All I can see are...hmm...snow, and rain, and fog."

We all laughed. "Maybe that;s the weather for this afternoon or tomorrow!" I suggested, pointing out the window at the clear blue sky.

Kaya rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I can really see it snowing today."

Holly shrugged, though she still had a wide grin on her face. "Okay, Kaya, Jade, what did you two see?"

I looked into my crystal ball trying to see something, anything at all.

Kaya was the first to answer Holly. "I can see three girls hiding in the Forbidden Forest, casting Patronus Charms."

"Hmm, that sounds oddly familiar," I replied sarcastically. "I wonder why?"

The event in question had been at the end of last term. We'd encountered a not-so-dead Buckbeak the hippogriff, our Patronuses (mine was a Barn Owl, Holly's a dolphin and Kaya's an eagle) and a rat that wasn't really a rat but a murderer.

Holly giggled. "And it all started when I told you two to come meet me at the Whomping Willow after a Divination exam!"

I grinned and nodded, because it was actually true.

"My turn," I said, then examined my crystal ball.

"I can see a massive cup thing that says on it...oh, it's the Triwizard Cup."

Trelawney swept past and heard my words. "My dear! You may well be seeing the winner of the upcoming Triwizard Tournament! Please do continue!"

I huffed but did as told anyway. "There's a guy lying on the ground - oh no - I think he's dead." The whole class stilled at these words. "He's wearing Hufflepuff robes - at least, I think he is, the clothes look kind of yellow. Umm...I don't recognise him.

'And there's another boy there too, he's wearing red - I guess he must be a Gryffindor...he's sort of covering the Hufflepuff's body - maybe he killed him, I don't know..."

Every set of eyes in the room was now focused on me, and I wasn't enjoying it...

"Uh-oh..." I whispered into the silence. "It's Harry Potter."

Quickly, I looked around. Harry definitely wasn't in the classroom, thank goodness, but I was sure he was going to hear of this.

I willed the words to disappear, the memory of me saying them to fade, but the damage had been done.
