Chapter 2 Aftermath/Bringing Back A Father

By 1899, the age of outlaws and gunslingers was at an end.

America was becoming a land of laws...

Even the west had mostly been tamed.

A few gangs still roamed but they were being hunted down and destroyed.

The screen opens up to a nighttime scene in the Grizzlies where the members of the Van der Linde gang are seen hauling wagons through a chilly snowstorm. They all appear to be freezing, and some are huddled up inside the wagon. Dutch and Hosea are seen commanding the band of wagons. Davey, a wounded gang member in the back of a wagon is seen clutching his wounds along with a few other gang members keeping warm. Reverend Orville Swanson is seen stepping out of a wagon to go talk with Dutch.

Swanson: Abigail says he's dying, Dutch. We'll have to stop some place.

Dutch: Okay. Arthur and Alex's out looking, I sent them up ahead.

Swanson nods and heads back into the wagons. Dutch looks back at the wagons as Hosea speaks to him.

Hosea: If we don't stop soon, we'll all be dying. This weather, it's May... I'm just hoping the law gets lost as we did.

Hosea points into the distance at something ahead.

Dutch: There. Arthur! Any luck?

A figure is seen approaching the wagons on their horse, who is revealed to be Arthur Morgan. He stops and lifts his hat up to the men.

Arthur: I found a place where we can get some shelter. Let Davey rest while he... you know.

Arthur turns his horse around in the direction wagon is heading.

Arthur: An old mining town, abandoned it ain't far. Come on.

Dutch: Come on!

Dutch commands the wagons and the horses to move forward. The wagons and horses start to move forward, following Arthur to his provided location.

Afterwards, the screen goes black and then displays the following text:

Chapter I: Colter

The gang were all following Arthur, then Dutch speaks up.

Dutch: Arthur! Where's Alex? I sent him with you!

Arthur: Ah after we found the place and made sure it was abandoned, he told me that he was gonna go find Marston.

Dutch: Oh Ok.

Hosea: That probably isn't the best idea. But after John getting shot it's good he went out looking. He knows his way back right?

Arthur: Hosea, he's the goddamned Terminator. He'll be fine.

Hosea rubbed his hands together and nodded.

Hosea: Alright, I'm just worried the boy's like a grandson to me.

Arthur: He's like a son to me Hosea, and he's Abigail's little brother, but after what I've seen Alex do during Robberies, shootouts with the O'driscolls, and outrunning the law with him, I'm not to worried about him getting lost.

The screen fades to black. The screen opens to the inside of a cabin, which then has its door cautiously opened by Hosea. After checking the cabin for inhabitants and confirming that it is safe, holsters his gun and puts down his lantern.

Hosea: Bring him in here.

Abigail then enters the cabin, followed by Bill and Arthur carrying Davey's now dead body on a stretcher. Dutch walks up to the entrance and walks the rest of the gang members in before eventually going in himself.
