The Unseen Prince

A New Us

Alice hastily packed her gear together as a young girl with stubby pigtails watched from the doorway. "When will you be back this time, mommy?" ,the girl curiously asked her mother. Though she was stressed, Alice was equally as excited about a new mission. She turned to look at her daughter with a soft smile played along her lips. "Hon.... You know how important mommy and daddy's jobs are! This time especially- but don't worry because this time my special little girl gets to stay in the castle for a few months or so. How exciting!" Explained the mother as she finished packing her bags alongside her silent husband who swiftly departed from the room. Klee immediately cheered up once her mother had revealed the news, unable to contain herself from running over to Alice and giving her a big hug. ".... But mommy won't play princess with Klee while I'm there though? Why for so long anyway?" She asked with a little frown once Alice's sentence fully settled in.

The woman gently picked up her daughter and gave her a soft reassuring kiss on the head. As much of a fire ball as Alice is she did take the time to think through all of her sentences and actions when it came to Klee, being the protective mother she is. "Klee.... I promise I won't be gone long. If what we've been hearing is true then this is serious and very dangerous otherwise I would take you with me- Albedo will visit and Jean will find the time to play with you everyday. Make sure you still have the recipes for those new bombs and have dodoco help! I promise I'll return, I truly love you dear." ,She reassured Klee to the best of her abilities. She planted one last kiss on Klee's head before a royal guard entered the room to come collect the little girl and some luggage for her extended stay in the castle while Alice and her husband went off to pick up on some rumors about a distant land and a new danger.

Klee held the hand of the guard as the pair entered the castle grounds where a line of important faces stood. First were the two Majesties who stood hand in hand and bowed when the girl waved to them. Beside them stood their son, Prince Razor who simply gave her a toothy grin. They only really had to introduce Razor but before they could the little girl had already ran up to the Queen and started to drag her away to the courtyard for "Klee-playtime" apparently. The prince and staff were left a bit shocked but simply reentered the castle to their respected positions.

Days went on as Klee adjusted to her new life which included genuine training of becoming a princess along with small alchemy projects done alongside the watchful eye of Albedo and even Jean. Surprisingly enough Jean had passed down her paperwork to her son since she had to raise Klee and knew from experience with Razor that she should have been around more than she is even now. Alice and her spouse had yet to return and it seemed like it was going to be that way for quite some time. Not long after the Camden family had hatched their plan, rumors had indeed begun to sprout out of nowhere and "trusted sources" even quotes them in papers. This led to the reputation of the prince only lowering and with his public appearances happening less and less people began looking for a new hope to rule their kingdom rather than the incoherent prince and that new hope just happened to be placed in the right spot in the right time.

It was evident that the people were wanting Klee to rule them even if they had to wait for her to be raised. With no sign of Alice returning and Klee worrying about being neglected in her new temporary home, the Queen had changed her sons schedule which effectively left him out of the picture entirely. No more mysterious faceless prince, rather, a rumored to be next in line disastrous yet powerful little girl who was even the great Alice's daughter took his place in the people's minds who resided in the kingdom and Razor was left with nothing. His schedule was changed to fit Klee's needs and training which has resulted in the revelation that he will be making no more progress in training, speech, and combat for the next five months.
