In the an unknown region there lies a kingdom, in some ways said kingdom was mysterious in the way in which it ruled. A kingdom where the deceased king's widow was found to be infertile causing a rather strange event where the Queen declared her want for a child to call her own. Children were offered to the Queen in exchange for wishes such as the Queen's hand in marriage, money, and any desire chosen by those who offered up a child once a month. The Queen chose a young boy offered to her by a woman known as "The Witch of Purple Rose." The child was offered by the witch in return for her life to be spared for using witchcraft.

The young boy was raised within the walls of the castle where he was taught in isolation of how he was to rule the kingdom in his mother's stead. He grew up nameless and faceless to all of those beyond the castle, the only name whispered under the breath of those who lived in the kingdom of Krouvarid was simply "The faceless Prince."

Over time the Queen soon fell for the witch and together they did their best to teach the young prince English but the boy was already eight by the time the witch had found him and offered him to her majesty. The boy would struggle to put together words, simply growls and muffled sounds were how he communicated. The witch and Queen found it best to isolate him from the kingdom, using the jealously of unpicked children's parents and the young prince's inability to communicate to justify their actions.

A decade has past and today is the day that young prince was to show his face- at least, somewhat. His attire was chosen by their majesties for this special event where he would attend a ceremony where the Queen would announce their future plans for the kingdom going forward and how their armies are holding up in war.

-
This story starts with a platinum blonde boy abruptly waking up to the raspy voice of an inpatient father yelling at him to get up and get dressed for today's ceremony.
"Bennett, I won't tell you again! Get up or I and the others will leave without you."
Bennett jolts up, mistakenly bumping his head into a shelf on the wall above him. He briefly groans in pain but brushes it off to begin scavenging for his signature goggles.

Once Bennett had found his goggles, he slipped on a loose white shirt albeit his only shirt. He then rushed out of his small home to catch up with the group trudging along the dirt path towards the Kingdom just up ahead.

-
Now that Bennett and his fathers were within the crowds the stress of being late to the ceremony was lifted off of their shoulders and replaced with the anticipation as the ceremony commenced. Nothing too flashy happened at the beginning of ceremonies since the Queen seen it as a waste to make a build up to just a few words and announcements. First walked out the beautifully dressed majesties, once a night then married to the king was Jean until his unfortunate passing whereas Lisa was just a powerful witch turned librarian who then had achieved the queens hand in marriage. The two held hands as they slowly looked around at crowds of their people from their typical spot on a balcony.

Bennett closely observed the two queens as their voices slowly faded as he just focused on awing at their beauty and riches. The unlucky boy could only dream of being decked out in such lavish clothing and jewelry, being that the boy was just a simple farmer and part time mechanic cursed with bad luck and poverty. His attention was pulled back to their majesties as they gestured towards the shorter figure they were welcoming to come stand between them.

"... both me and my lovely wife would like to finally introduce you to our son, your prince... Razor." ,Jean said as the boy stood between his two mothers. Though he was dressed in the usual formal attire for a prince he did have some unique attributes to his attire. The more blatant one being the thin hooded cape that was worn to hide half of his face. His face stayed blank with little to no emotion seeing as he was more than likely told to stay quiet since he couldn't properly talk yet. The prince seemed to have fluffy, unruly, grey hair that was pact together down into a long braid that draped over his shoulder. He simply raised a hand that was adorned with unique rings and kindly waved allowing a small, though soft, smile to be shown.

'That... Smile.. so....' Bennett didn't understand as to why his face heated up and he was lost for thought once he had seen the prince smile, It was oddly calming how everything just seemingly faded away around him... everything and everyone but that prince and his smile. The prince seemed to glance over at Bennett to which immediately his breath hitched in response to. Prince Razor retracted his hand he had been waving with and used it to cover his mouth as he gently laughed at the boy's flustered face. Bennett awkwardly rubbed the back of his head while he looked away from the "adorable" prince.

"...t........"
"....ett..........."
"..nett....."
"Bennett!" ,a voice yelled while they shook his shoulders even harder. Bennett blinked backed to reality only to be met with the worried eyes of one of  his fathers. "The hell were you daydreaming about this time- during a ceremony might I add?" Asked his concerned father who went onto explain that the ceremony had been over for about ten minutes now and how Bennett just randomly went red in the face then fell unconscious during the last few minutes of it.

Razor whispered into Queen Lisa's ear as he pointed over at an obviously embarrassed individual who had just woken up from being unconscious. He was able to notice since most people had cleared out of the castle grounds by then to reenter the kingdom or leave the kingdom entirely to get to their homes. Lisa giggled as she explained to the concerned boy, "..Oh- Sweetie, he's just flustered is all. He probably isn't hurt and just underestimated how hot it was outside." Seeing as the prince just raised a brow at the big words, Lisa decided on shortening it. "It was too hot outside, too much to handle. Understand..?" Razor awed in response as he turned back to the few remaining folks and smiled with a small wave to take his leave.

Bennett told his father he just got overheated and how immensely sorry he was for ruining the ceremony for his fathers. He subtly looked over at the balcony only to see the Prince pointing at him concerned.
'Just my luck' he thought to himself as he watched Razor converse with the Queen before turning back to the remaining crowds. He smiled again and waved then left leaving Bennett to only wonder if he was imagining that whole scenario with the prince and why he would even have such a thought about a prince he couldn't fully see the face of.

((1218 on the first chapter? Not bad I guess... I hope it wasn't too bad and sorry for getting off track at times. I'll try better next time and might even have multiple POVs... who knows? Love ya 🤍
