"Spencer!" Bea yelled as she walked out the school doors, "Will you walk me home?" Bea was 10 years old, had dirty blonde hair, and a lot of freckles. Bea was one of Micah's little sisters.
"Mhm." I nodded. I was 14 years old with dark brown hair that went to my shoulders. Im a grade above Micah, who happened to be my best friend.
"Wait up!" Lanna yelled running up. Lanna was Micah's other sister. She was 7 and looked a lot like her brother and sister.
"We're waiting." I yelled back. It was lightly snowing out and almost all the other kids had left the school. The walk wasn't very long. Micah played basketball while the the we sat outside and read. I looked up as I heard the phone ring.
"I've got it." Micah said going inside. "Hello?" He said answering the phone.
"Micah?"
"Hey mom."
"Micah, you and the girls need to get inside. Is anyone over?"
"The girls had Spencer walk with them. Should she go back to the school?"
"No. It's too risky. Have her come inside as well. Lock all the doors and windows." Then the phone died.
"You guys need to come in." Micah said.
"Should I head back to the school?" I asked, standing up.
"No. Mom said it's to risky." The snow started to pick up. We all went inside. Micah locked the door. We sat in the living room. Suddenly the wind started howling and thunder crashed.
"AHHHHH!" Bea and Lanna screamed as the power out. They both clutched onto me. I jumped myself. I could just barely see the terror in Micah's eyes from across the room.
The thunder crashed again. Louder than before. "Do you have any candles?" I whispered just loud enough for Micah to hear me. He nodded. "Where?"
"Under the bathroom sink."
"I'll get them if you get a lighter." I said as I stood up. I went and got a few candles. I came back and placed them in the middle of the floor. All of us sat down as Micah lit the candles.
"What do think is happening?" Bea asked.
I shook my head. "Who knows. But let's do something else besides think about the storm." Micah looked at me and nodded. "Let's play a game." Lanna perked up!
"Ok! I'll go get some!" She said.
"I'll come with." Bea said as she went after her sister.
"What do you think is happening?" I asked looking at Micah.
"I don't know." I went to the window.
"It looks like a mix between a black out and a white out. I can't see anything." Micah came and stood beside me. I put my hand on the window. "Oh!" I gasped. As the color in my eyes slightly faded. "It's so cold." I looked at Micah. "I've never felt anything like it."
"Come on. Let's go sit back down." Right then the lighting crashed.
"AHHHH!" I screamed as I latched onto Micah. He wrapped his arms around me.
