Chapter 6: Sorry I'm Allergic to Answering Your Questions

Dameon's POV

A loud of bloodcurdling scream catches my attention. I know who it is just by the sound of it. Ariadne. I run towards the sound. I finally spot her- with a dog? Her and the dog(?) are staring up at the trees. Looking up my blood runs cold. Another dead body with another note underneath it. Why are they doing this. I gave them what they wanted. I hit a tree frustrated. Letting out all the curse words I know. She wasn't supposed to see this. She wasn't even supposed to be out here. How did she escape in the first place? I walk over towards her.

"Ariadne come here."

She turns toward me, shock and fear in her eyes. She walks into my open arms.

"How could someone do that? What's going on Dameon?"

"It'll be okay."

She pulls back and looks at me like I grew two heads.

"Are you crazy! There's a freaking DEAD BODY hanging from a tree with some creepy note and all you can say is that it'll be okay! How can you be so calm?!"

"I'll explain once we go inside. It's not safe to be out here."

"Wow you think?"

"Ariadne..."

"Dameon..."

"How did you escape in the first place? Also where did this dog come from?"

"Umm.... Well you see what happened was I thought it would be nice day to go outside on the beach..."

"Uh-huh..."

"So I went out through the window and I was outside on the beach walking along then boom! I saw this gorgeous beauty all by herself."

"Really?"

"Really."

"You know that the window to your room is locked and your on the second floor?"

"I have ways of unlocking the window and I used my bedsheets to climb down."

"Ariadne I don't have time for this. Just tell me the truth."

"Okay the truth is I was looking for you."

"Why didn't you just say that?"

"Look can we just go already I don't want to be near that."

"Huh. Fine okay."

Holding her hand I pull her away from the graphic scene.

"So I assume that you think we're keeping the dog?"

"Yes if no one claims her."

"Her?"

"I feel like it's a girl. I also named her."

"What did you name her?"

"Lilo."

I burst out laughing. I'm not surprised one bit.

"What?"

"Nothing."

She gives me a suspicious look but doesn't say anything. We make it back to the house. I don't really like dogs but Ariadne loves them so we'll see what happens. My guards rush to us once the door is open. I cut them off before they can speak.

"Call the others and tell them to meet me here in my office at 2300."

"Yes Alpha."

They both say as they scurry off.

"Ariadne go up into your room and don't come out unless I or the guards tell you too. I mean it this time."

"Yes Dameon."

She leaves with Lilo following her heels. I can't help but snort. Lilo. She would.
I go into my office and start looking over my treaty papers. I need to find out why they are doing this. More people will get hurt and I can't let that happen.

Ariadne's POV

Laying on my bed with Lilo laying on my lap I can't help but wonder what's going on. Why does he keep on avoiding my questions? Why won't he tell me anything? Who did that? Why did they do that? Is because of me or Dameon? Was it the dangerous people that are after me? Ugh so many questions left unanswered! Wait maybe there's a way to answer them. I jump up annoying Lilo who was starting to fall asleep. The only way I can find out is tonight. I have to go to that meeting.
