"love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of withering's, of tarnishing's." – Anais Nin

My black high-top converses slapped the ground, one after the other as I ran up the steep monstrous hill.

"This is the warm-up run" My coach (and former science teacher) Mr. Lightle spoke.

"Th-the warm up run?" I spoke in a high pitch voice and in-between heaves of breaths. My heart felt like it was going to burst already.

"Yeah, we are going to the track today so be prepared" He spoke swiftly before turning around and pointing to the lines formed of three indirectly telling us to pick a line to join.

That would have been nice to know. Curse you Justin

Cameron, and Kaylinn caught up to me and they were both breathing harder than I was and we shyly made our way to the lines of people as they all stared at us.

The lines were made up of three seniors.

Camden the tall one who looked like he came straight out of a Disney romance novel. Jennie who I learned that was intimidating at first but is truly the sweetest girl ever.

Then him.

Justin.

I studied him for the second that I had the chance.

He was short for a guy. Only a few inches taller taller than me. (Maybe 5'6 5'8). He was very skinny and the shorts he was wearing barely fit his bony hips. He wore a grey tank top. His hair was a light brown, maybe dirty blond and naturally curly (and in need of a hair cut) but his eyes. His eyes were so pretty. A bright blue color that I wish I have instead of my boring greyish-blue.

After he caught me glancing over at his being I immediately looked back down and shuffled my way into Jennies line. Whilst Kaylinn went into Camdens line and Cameron went to Justins.

"Hi Kicks...GO!" Jennie yells. Causing my to flinch a bit before watching the others before going off myself.

I looked around and followed pursuit but  immediatly realized I had an issue...I'm wearing a normal bra. Not a sports bra. So nothing was really holding me up as I made these ungracious moves.

and everyone was staring.

Present day

I froze once I felt a raindrop fall on my hair. I must have went of daydreaming again because I didn't even realize the sky getting darker and the wind becoming more fierce.

I should go inside but I couldn't. He was all I could think about. Plus, it was only sprinkling I could tolerate that

I pull out my phone and unlocked it. My fingers subconsciously found their way to his profile.
