My Clarity not a Tragedy (A Sandro Marcos Fanfiction)

CHAPTER 1

Kalixta's POV

I'm out of nowhere. All I can see is the busy street full of running cars and the air was deeply polluted. I took my tissue out from my pocket and put it in my nose. Kanina pa ako nandito pero wala talaga akong maisip na pwede kong gawin sa mga oras na ito. I was about to go home na when my phone rang. I took my phone out from my pouch and I saw the name of my bestfriend flashing on my phone screen.

"Hey besh, where the hell are you?" It's Celestine, my long-time bestfriend.

"I'm somewhere in Ilocos. Why?" I answered her question while walking down the stairs.

"Somewhere? Hindi mo alam kung nasaan ka? Jusko po Kali. Meet me at Starbucks right now. Bye" Then she hung up the call. Parang bastos lang eh nu, hindi na ako nakapagsalita kase ini-off na nya ang tawag nya.

I don't have any choice but to follow what my bestfriend says. I took my car keys from my pouch and turn the car engine on.

When I arrived at Starbucks, I directly open the door and by the time I enter the store, I was approached by two waitresses and they gave me their warm smiles.

Agad kong hinanap ang kinauupuan ng kaibigan ko. I saw her at the other corner of the store. I walked towards her and by the time she saw me, she flashed her very annoying smile to me.

"Finally, you're here! Pili ka na ng order mo" She said while I was busy pulling the chairs out for me to sit.

"I want Cappuccino, as always" I said to her. She then immediately called the waitress to assisst us in our orders.

"Oh ano na? Ano bang ginagawa mo sa 'somewhere in Ilocos' mag-isa?" Tanong nya agad sakin ng makaalis na ang waitress sa table namin.

"I'm bored and tired. Tulungan mo na kasi akong maghanap ng work." Sabi ko sa kanya while pouting my lips.

"Alam mo, hindi kita maiintindihan. Ang yaman mo na, nasa iyo na ang lahat pero bakit ba kailangan mo pang maghanap ng trabaho?" She said while looking at me with her i-don't-understand-you look.

"Sinabi ko na 'to sayo noon at uulitin ko na naman ngayon. I want to use my degree. Okaay? I want to have a descent work just like what normal people did. Just like you. Gets?" I answered her directly on point.

"Fine! Fine! Okaaay, I will help you find a job." She said while putting her hands upward as a sign of giving up.

I just smiled and winked at her. Tamang-tama at dumating na rin 'yung inorder namin na drinks kaya nagsimula na kaming uminom.

It was almost 6 when I arrived home. Kotse lang ni Mommy ang nakikita ko sa parking area kaya alam kong wala pa si Daddy. Pagpasok ko sa sala, I saw my Mom sitting on the couch with her laptop on her lap. I run to her and kissed her cheeks.

"Good evening Kali. Where have you been? I thought you were with your dad at his office?" Mom said while her hands were busy typing on the laptop.

"I'm with Celestine, Mom. We were having coffee at Starbucks" I answered my Mom with a smile on my lips though I know she won't be able to see that smile because she is very busy on her laptop.

"Mom, I have to go to my room now. Bye" I kissed her one more time and hurriedly run towards my room.

I took a shower and dressed up in my evening shirt and pants. Hindi na ako nagugutom kaya hindi na rin ako nag abalang bumaba pa at kumain.

I turned the television on and select the BBC Earth channel. I really love this channel. Mahilig kasi ako sa mga animals, and you know, may iba kasing animals na hindi mo makikita dito sa Pilipinas. 'Yung iba naman sobrang bihira mo nalang makikita kasi sobrang konting-konti nalang sila. Endangered species ba kumbaga. And because of this channel I was able to watch different kinds of animal that were not existing here in our country.

Nasa dulo na ako ng panonood ko ng biglang nag-ring ang cellphone ko.  I fished my phone from my pouch and I saw Celestine's name popping on the screen. Hahaaay kahit kailan talaga tong babaeng 'to. Palagi akong ini-istorbo. I answered her call and she said......

"Kali, waiting no more. Prepare your biodata and all your credentials tomorrow. Kasi tumatawag sakin 'yung pinsan ko na nagta-trabaho sa Congressional office. Sabi 'nya naghahanap raw sila ng bagong sekretarya for the Congressman's office kasi nag resign daw 'yung unang secretary kasi nabuntis. Kaya sabi ko sa kanya na ikaw 'yung ire-recommend kong mag-a-apply dun. Gooo na yan besh." She shouted on the other line. Her energy tonight makes me so alive na rin kaya medyo na excite ako sa sinasabi niya.

"Okaay, I will prepare them all tomorrow." I said while flashing my sweetest smile as if Celestine would be able to see it.

"Okaay then, Goodluck. The interview will be on the other day okaay? I will just send you the address, the name of the HR Personnel and the Congressman okaay?"

"Okaay, thanks Tine" I answered.

"No worries. And heeeey! Before I forgot, the congressman that you will be applying for is walang iba kundi si Mr. Sandro Marcos lang naman HAHAHAHA". The moment I heard her laugh on the other line and heard the name 'Sandro', my hands were trembling and I am running out of words to say. I heard it right? Sandro Marcos?

"No! Wait, what? I will be working with the President's son?" I asked her unbelievably.

"Yes! So dapat prepared ka and I hope makikita mo na sya in personal yiiieee HAHAHAHA" After that, she hung up the call. Bastos as ever!

I still can't believe that I am going to apply for work sa office ni Mr. Sandro Marcos. Bakit parang kinakabahan yata ako? Huhuhu nakoooo Kalixta! Work na yaan haaa, work na yan. 'Yan naman gusto mo diba? Ang makapagtrabaho ka at magamit mo na rin ang pinag-aralan mo.

Pero bakit ako kinakabahan? Bakit parang nae-excite yata ako? Ohmygooosh Kalixta, behave well, kung hindi ka tatanggapin, bahala sila. At kung matatanggap ka naman, Goodluck sayoo makikita mo na ang lalaking pinagpapantasyahan mo noong kabataan mo.

I'm going to finally meet the one and only Mr. Ferdinand Alexander Araneta Marcos III!
