My Clarity not a Tragedy (A Sandro Marcos Fanfiction)

CHAPTER 3

Sandro's POV

"Pardon, Sir?" She uttered while looking at me with her wide eyes. She blinked her eyes three times.

"Uh, I m-mean uhm, please take a seat." Shit! Sandro, why are stuttering in front of her. I saw how her cheeks turned red when I said that.

"Uh, you may now introduce yourself." I broke the silence.

"Uh, yes. Hi, Congressman. I am Kalixta Antoinette Faye Soriano Concepcion, but you can call me Kali. I am 25 years old and reside in Piddig, Ilocos Norte, with my parents. I received my bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in human resource management from Cornell University, and I recently completed my master's degree in administration office management at the same institution. I am a professional board passer as well as a licensed holder." She spoke straightly. What an intelligent lady!

I took her biodata and other credentials on her folder and read it.

"What is your parent's occupation?" I asked her but still looking on her biodata, especifically on her picture.

"My father is a Piddig businessman and former vice-mayor. My mother is a businesswoman as well, but she chose to set up her own company separate from my father's." She utter. I looked at her and scan her face. Her father is a politician din pala but I never saw this girl before when we were having campaigns.

I read her biodata and it says that her father is Richard Concepcion.

I was shocked.

Her father is my Dad's closest friend. But I guess that she's not aware na kilala ko ang Daddy nya.

I looked at her again and asked.

"I realize you're already wealthy, and I believe your parents can provide you with anything you desire. Why did you insist on working?" I asked her.

She cleared her throat before answering my question.

"Yes, sir. My parents can give me anything I want, and I can do whatever I want. But, having completed a bachelor's degree and a master's degree overseas, I've come to believe that all of the things I've learnt will be useless if I don't put them to use. Also, I want to be able to meet my needs with my own money earned through hard work rather than relying on what my parents would supply, and I have passion for whatever I do, Sir. I adore my job as much as I adore myself. My parents' occupation has nothing to do with it. Thank you." She said and then smiled at me.

Bakit ba palagi syang nakangiti? Nakakahawa na ah. Tsaka everytime she smiles, lumalabas ang tunay nyang ganda. God! What happened to me?

"Okay. You've been selected for the position. You'll be able to begin working the next day. Now is the time to put your time to good use by cleaning your office. I believe the previous secretary left something in her office that was no longer useful. If you're not going to use it, throw it away." I utter while getting all her papers from my table, put it inside the folder tsaka ko ibinalik sa kanya.

I observed how her face lit up and she flashed her lovely smile at me when I said those words. She abruptly rose from her chair, bowed her head, and expressed gratitude. I handed her the key to the secretary's office, which she gladly took.

"Thank you, Congressman," she said as she walked away. I just smiled and nodded. She then exited my office and proceeded to her own.

God! Her smile is irresistible to me. Her cheerfulness is contagious. It relieved me of all my worry and tension.

Kalixta's POV

As soon as I received the keys from him, I immediately went to my office. Whooo! My new home! Finally!!

I went inside my office and close the door. I checked the whole surrounding, hindi naman makalat pero may ibang papers na nandito pa rin sa table. I checked the papers in the table and tinapon ko na ang ibang papers na hindi na gagamitin.

Wala naman akong ibang gagawin since this is not yet my first day sa work so tinitingnan ko nalang ang ibang records na nandito sa office para aware ako sa mga unfinished business ng secretary before.

After checking all the papers, I called Celestine para masabi ko sa kanya ang good news.

"Yesss bessssy!" Sigaw ni Tine on the other line

"Besssyyy! I got hired! Thank you so much!" I shouted back and laugh.

"Arrgghhh!! Congratulations besssyy!!" She said and I know tumatalon na 'tong kaibigan ko sa tuwa.

"Thanks to you, besssy! And dahil jan treat kita ng lunch"

"Truee? Omooo goo! Saan?"

At ayun, sinabi ko sa kanya kung saan kami mag meet for lunch.

I took my bag from the table and put my phone inside. I then immediately went to Congressman's office para magpapaaalam sa kanya na uuwi na ako. I was about to knock on the door na when he suddenly opened it and meet my eyes.

"Uh... uhm, Congressman, uuwi na po ako. Bukas na ulit ako babalik for my first day" Sabi ko sa kanya while looking straight in his eyes.

Sheeeet bakeeet ang ganda ng mga mata mo, Sandro? Kahit na sobrang laki na ng mga eyebags mo, ang ganda pa rin tingnan ng mga mata mo. Bakeeet ba?

"Uh, yes you may go home now." He answered shortly and then went back inside his office.

Ang taray! May mood swings ata si Sandro kase parang kanina lang okay yun kausap eh pero ngayon, nagtataray. Parang ewan.

Lumabas na ako ng office and pumara ako ng kotse upang pumunta sa restaurant kung saan kami magkikita ni Celestine.

When I arrived at the restaurant, I immediately wandered my eyes para hanapin ang kaibigan ko.

I saw her sitting on the corner while looking on her phone.

I ran towards her and hugged her tightly sabay kiss sa kanya.

"What the hell? I'm straight!" She said while laughing.

"Duuh! I'm straight too. It's just that I'm so happy today." Sabi ko while pulling out the chair for me to sit down.

"Oh ano na? Gwapo ba?" Yun agad ang tanong nya sakin. And I saw the excitement in her eyes while her hands are on her face.

"Sobraa!" I screamed slightly.

Tumawa lang sya pagkatapos kung sabihin yun. Umorder na kami ng pagkain and as what I have said earlier, ililibre ko sya ng lunch. So sagot ko lahat ng kakainin namin today.

While waiting sa orders namin, we were just talking about what happened earlier including yung sinabihan ako ni Sandro na "beautiful". Sobrang kinilig ang gaga HAHAHAHA.

Nang dumating na ang orders namin we started eating na while talking pa rin. Hindi kase nauubusan ng chika tong si Tine eh. Kaya sobrang vibes kaming dalawa.

Nang matapos na akong kumain, I asked her permission na pupunta na muna ako sa C.R. She just nooded at me and nagpatuloy lang sya sa foods nya.

I just did my rituals there and as soon as I'm done, lumabas na rin ako ng C.R. I was walking towards our table na when I saw someone from the counter. Parang familiar sa akin ang figure ng lalaki kase nakatalikod ito sa akin. I was about to continue walking na when he turn around and he saw me. And by the time our eyes met, I was frozen.

He's back!
