“Where are you going?” My eyes widened upon seeing my mother in the living room.

I didn‘t expect that she was here! I thought she‘s not going home together with Daddy!

“Treat yourself and spend almost a million in one day again?” Mommy accused, raising her brows. “Hmm… wala akong natatanggap na notice na malaki ang nagastos mo this week… What are you doing in your life this past few weeks, darling?”

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag doon. “Of course I had my exam, Mommy! I‘m too busy to even go to the mall, r-right?”

Nanliit ang mga mata niya saakin. “Beatrice Emery can find some time to do her shopping even though she have a busy schedule.”

“People change! Not now na, Mommy. I couldn‘t find some time na. Like what I‘ve said — I’m busy. So I have to go na! Kasi the time is sayang!” I told her quickly, trying to avoid her questions.

“Emery!” Malakas niyang tawag sa akin but I was already running away from her so she couldn’t questioned me anymore!

“Whoa.” I hissed when I entered in the grab I book. Hindi ko man lang alam na nandito pala si Mommy!
