"Did you guys make that sound?" Sam asks us as we came speeding up to them, a worried look on his face. We both shake our heads simultaneously and move far away from where it had just happen. He immediately pulls out the camera and starts to film.

"Do you think we should go check it out?" Colby asks, his eyes still wide. Sam nods almost immediately and Jake and I shake our heads violently.

"We're just going to check it out, you'll be okay," Sam says and him and Colby walk ahead, Jake and I hesitantly walking behind them.

We passed a few rooms, having to be careful as to where we step, avoiding the shattered glass scattered over the floor.

Suddenly there was a loud banging noise, like a door being slammed shut. We all stop in our tracks for a few seconds until the building was dead quiet again.

As we neared the end of the one hallway, we noticed that one of the doors were shut, most likely the one which caused the loud noise.

"We should go in right?" Sam asks and Colby nods slowly, taking hold of the doorknob, turning it and hesitantly opening the door.

As we entered the room, the sound of my heart hammering against my chest echoed through my head.

"So here's what's gonna happen," Sam says, still filming, "We brought the Ouija board with us. You guys are more than welcome to play, and if not, that's totally fine as well."

Sam starts setting up the board with the candles placed around it, taking a seat on the cold cemented floor, Colby joining opposite him.

"I've never done this," I say and my eyes scan over the scene in front of me, nervousness bubbling in the pit of my stomach.

"It's safer to try with us than alone, so if you want to give it a go, we're here," Sam says gently and Colby nods, looking up at me.

I hesitantly take a seat between them and look up at Jake, his eyebrows raised. "I didn't expect that," he laughs and immediately sits opposite me.

"Do you want me to walk you through the rules?" Colby asks and I nod, my eyes attached to the board.

"To summarize it, don't take your fingers off before saying goodbye, be respectful to the spirits and if something feels wrong, tell us," he says and I nod.

They start placing their fingers on the planchette, me copying their movements, unsure of what exactly to do.

"How do we start?" I whisper, confusion clearly visible on my face. "If there's anything here with us, we would like to communicate with you. You can use our energy to move the pointer to what you want to say," Sam explains and I look at the planchette, hoping it doesn't move.

"Is there anything here with us?" Colby asks and we wait for a few seconds, nothing happening while we wait.

"If there's anything here with us, please give us a sign," Jake says and yet again nothing happens.

The nervous bubble in my stomach started growing bigger with every passing the second, my breathing speeding up as well as my heart rate.

As we waited for the planchette to move or something to happen, my head started feeling heavy, a sudden headache rushing behind my eye sockets, black dots appearing in front of my eyes.

"Guys, I think we need to stop," I say, putting my head into my free hand, trying to get rid of the lightheaded feeling.

"You good?" I hear Jake ask and I shake my head. I look up to them, hoping the feeling has faded but it's still there.

"You don't look too good," Sam says and I slowly nod. "We should end this," Colby says and I feel them move the planchette to the end of the board, moving it over 'goodbye'.

Immediately I remove my hand from it and bury my face in both of them. The feeling didn't seem to go away, and a sense of worry washed over me.

I felt a hand gently touching my lower arm, the heat sending shivers down my spine. "You're freezing," I hear Colby say and he shuffles for a bit before engulfing me in a sudden heat.

I look up at him and see that his hoodie is placed around my back. I throw it over my head and switch back to the position I was in.

Suddenly there was a loud screeching sound coming from down another hallway. My heart starts racing again, my palms becoming sweaty.

"Guys we need to go," Sam says and I look up, trying to get the strength in my body to get on my feet. Colby gives me a hand and I take it, pulling myself up with him pulling me up as well.

My legs feel like jelly, making it hard for me to walk. My vision is still blurred and almost completely covered in black, but I make it my main priority to get out of this place.

Sam is ahead of us and Jake is behind. I try and walk but it takes a lot of strength which I don't have right now.

Colby stops and slightly crouches in front of me, placing his hands to the back of his sides. "Jump," he says and I take no time to question his demand and do as I'm told.

When I'm finally on his back, my legs lightly wrapping around his torso and my hands slightly gripping his shoulders to keep me on him, my head resting on my hand.

He runs for a while, my body jumping with his and my head shaking violently with his movements.

We finally come to a stop, and he puts me back on the ground, him and Jake holding onto my arms to prevent my legs from giving in.

My sight starts to come back, my legs gathering more strength as time passes. "Help me with her," Colby says to Jake and before they could throw me over the fence, I grab onto it.

"I'm fine," I say and climb it like Colby showed me earlier. I jump off and almost lose my balance, but Jake grabs onto my arm and helps me find it again.

Colby and Sam climb the fence and we all run back to the car. "Here," Colby says in-between breaths, stretching out his arm behind him, his hand opening.

I grab onto it, his hand gripping around mine. I run as fast as I can, gravity and Colby's strength pulling me closer to him.

We finally make it to the car, Sam immediately getting in and starting it. Jake jumps in the passenger seat and Colby and I in the back seats.

We all sit for a few minutes to try and steady our breathing. Sam finally drives away, the darkness almost swallowing the car, the headlights being the only thing preventing it.

I look at Colby, his eyes traveling downwards. My eyes follow his and see that my hand is still engulfed in his. My eyes trail back up to his, a small smile forming on his lips.

I smile back at him, slowly slipping my hand out of his grip. I shift my body towards the door, looking out the window, seeing the faint reflection of him.

He's still looking at me, a small smile plastered on his face, until he finally shifts his head to his window.
