George sat up tired and confused, looking over at his clock on the nightstand he squinted trying his best to make out the faint glowing numbers. "4am?! That can't be right! I laid down to take a nap at 5pm," he stood up and drew back his blackout curtains to reveal that it was in fact
the very early morning, so early that the sun hadn't dared to peak into the star filled sky.

"I seriously need to reevaluate my life choices"

He sighed ,"might as well get something to drink," he thought to himself.
Narrowly making it down the stairs without breaking something, George stumbled into the kitchen, found a glass, and proceeded to accidentally put his cup up to the ice dispenser instead of the water dispenser which caused him to nearly piss his pants.

As he walked over to his couch he remembered the mirror he left in his car. He nearly got up to take care of it but at the last second he decided against it. "Eh I'll  just wait until the sun comes up."
...
It took five minutes for his impatient self to get up and decide "wHo NeEdS tHe SuN!?"
(for anyone who is having trouble reading that it says "who needs the sun?!")

George was struggling to even get it out of the car so how did he expect himself to get this thing across the driveway, up the front steps, and through the front door? He wasn't sure but he was about to find out some way. No matter how lazy or impatient George seemed he always had one consistent trait that kept him going for better or for worse... stubbornness. Pure and absolute stubbornness.

After some struggling he finally made it to the steps... now the problem was getting the mirror up them. "Yeah, I bet you think you're so tough huh? Well mirror, you got another thing coming. I'm the boss around here and I say you're going up those stairs! You are going to listen to me!!"

The mirror did not in fact listen to him.

The mirror instead decided to almost slip out of his hands 3 times, and once George finally got it up the steps it then proceeded to almost fall backwards onto the sidewalk, which gave George a heart attack.
Eventually after a lot of struggling he got it through the door. As he shut the front door, his stomach rising and falling heavily as he panted to catch his breath, he reached into his pocket grabbing his phone to check the time. "oh my god... it can't possibly be 6am! I didn't even notice the sun come up..."

"Guess I need to reevaluate my life choices more than I originally thought...NAHH who needs to think pfft— I've got a mirror to get upstairs!"

George didn't get the mirror up the stairs, he instead gave up after ten minutes and pushed it against the wall next to the stairs. After grabbing something to eat he decided that he would try again in a couple hours....

- 1 week later -

"Alright mirror I know what you're thinking," George said ,"this guys been putting this off for a week now, does he really think he'll move me now?" He said mocking the mirror as if it could talk.
He was making himself look like a fool so if the mirror could talk I'm sure it would be laughing at him. "But today's the day," he continued ," the day that I will get you to the top of those stairs!"

George wasn't necessarily strong but he had something better, pure, unchecked stubbornness. The tool that would bring him to victory... well sort of. After sparing no effort in trying to get the up the first few steps he realized he couldn't just brute force it. He wasn't strong enough to carry it up the stairs, the wooden frame was too heavy, plus it made it harder to grip. As stated before he's extremely stubborn so it wasn't like he was going to ask for help, besides who would he even call? He had mostly kept to himself and the few friends he had were always extremely busy.

After some time was taken to make a better strategy he found a method that worked, he had taken some old foam he had laying around and couple blankets to make padding around the mirror, carefully tilted it til it was laying on the stairs, and began to pull it up. It took a while but it eventually worked.

He had successfully made it to the guest bedroom with the mirror setting it against the wall opposite of the bed. "Ha! Told you I could do it!" He sort of yelled at the mirror slightly out of breath. "Now if you'll excuse me I have much more important matters to attend to!"

Those said 'important matters' were just making dinner, which although is important, I doubt the mirror would think the same thing about a rather sad looking bowl of ramen.

Most of the day had been spent figuring out how he was going to get the mirror up the stairs. At this point George was sore and just wanted to spend the rest of the night relaxing his body. After all he had work the next day which he really wasn't looking forward to, however if he kept breaking mirrors at the rate he was, he was definitely gonna need that paycheck.

After dinner he went back to the guest room one final time to admire his work, though he felt something missing, something wrong, however he did not have time for distractions, he needed to sleep and he finally went to bed.
