Distance Lies

Chapter 6

It’s been one of the longest weeks of my life. I feel like it is never going to end. I lay on the couch with an arm over my eyes trying to coax myself into sleeping. I’ve gotten into this bad habit of sleeping through the day and staying up all night. I can’t shake it or break it either.

I get up and heads back upstairs. I stand in front of my bedroom door. I hold onto the door knob then decides against it. I walk over to Theo’s door I open it then walks in. I don’t move for a minute or two when I finally decide to just crawl into his bed. I curl up around one his pillows then just lays there. I get up and I open up the doors that leads to a small ledge. I crawl back into bed and curls myself around his pillow again.

The next day I was woken up by my phone. I roll over and grabs it off the night stand. I slide the talk button over without looking at who was actually calling me. Then again no one really calls me any more so I have a small group of people to draw from.

“Hello” I say and my morning voice apparent

“Good morning” I hear Dani say

“Hey” I say and I sit up in bed

“I am in London. I couldn’t remember the address to your new place so I thought I would call” I look out the window

“No stay in London I’ll come to you” I say as I kick off the blankets

“Are you sure?” I stand up then cracks my back

“Yeah I’m sure. I’ll be there by tonight. You just be comfortable” I say and I hear her hum

“Okay” I yawn then shakes my head

“So tonight. Where do you want me to meet you?” I look out the window again

“Not sure yet” I say and she hums again

“Okay I’ll see you soon then”

“Yeah” I say and I yawn yet again

“Bye for now than”

“Yeah” I hang up then looks around Theo’s room I remake make the bed. I shut the window I take a shower then packs my bags. I make sure everything downstairs was locked and okay. Before I get to Theo’s car. While on my way to London I call Theo

“Hello Darling” he says and I smile

“Hey there. Which hotel are you at” I say and he goes quiet

“No clue” I laugh

“That is helpful really Theo” he laughs along with me

“I can get you the information later” I laugh

“Well get it to me before I make it to London yeah” I say and he laughs

“Wait you’re coming to London?” I roll my eyes

“Wow nothing gets past you Theo” I say and I’m sure he rolled his eyes at me

“You know what.” I chuckle under my breath

“What?”

“You’re a smartass” I laugh

“But your my smartass” I blush at the comment

“I’ll get you the hotel and room number though” I smile

“Thank you” I say and he hums

“Why are you coming to London?”

“Dani flew in and she is in London so I told her I would come to her” I say and he laughs

“Really you could have totally lied to me and said you were coming to London for me you know”
