Gu XiXi POV:

I am worried. Very worried, if I'm honest... What is going to happen to my life... I'm walking down the street right now. People are bustling on the road in the opposite direction. some are happy, while some look anxious. It's funny to think how our problems don't matter in the world, in the universe. My mind is filled with thoughts that are slowly starting to overtake my consciousness. I always had a problem with emotions...

My phone beeps with a text, I couldn't be the least concerned about it. slowly, I pull it out of my pocket. A message from ze gang...

Why didn't you come yesterday? I waited the whole evening for you... maybe you already had something on your plate.  No problem, I will keep waiting for you.  I'm about to get into my flight now, wait for me!  I will bring gifts for you!      Love, Ze Gang.

Ze gang obviously did not wait in the room, so why would he lie to me? Maybe Xiaoya gave me the wrong room number card? Or.. did she... No, she would never do that to me...  Would she?

I'm going to call her...

The phone number you dialed cannot be contacted right now. Please try again later.

My mind wandered back to ze gang as I came to stop in the middle of the bustling street. All those moments we shared have all come to an end. Goodbye, ze gang...

HONK! HONK!

I looked up just in time to a bus racing down the road. My instincts kicked in as I threw myself forward, off of the bus's route. I fell to my knees on the sidewalk, scraping them badly. People stared and whispered about me. Who is that girl kneeling on the sidewalk? I hate people who cross the road absent-mindedly!  The bus driver poked his head out of the window and looked back at me. "If you want to die, don't take people down with you!" He screamed as the bus moved out of my sight.

My mind was just sinking in what had just happened when my phone vibrated in my pocket. "I forgot to put it off silent," I thought as I picked it up, the adrenaline still not out of my body.

I looked at the caller ID. Aunt Zhao, Ze gang's mother...Why is she calling me right now? I picked it up and said "Hello Aunt."

"Miss Gu. As you know, Ze gang was sent abroad by his company for further training. Previously, ze gang and you loved each other. I did not agree about your relationship with my son but I didn't say anything because my son liked you. Now that he is out of the country I hope you can stop bothering our family.

Also, I didn't want to say it to you before but my son has gone abroad for his company with another girl. That girl is worthy of ze gang and I am very proud to call her the daughter-in-law of the Zhao family. You must break up with my son and stop bothering us, understood?"

And then she hung up. I was speechless... Why does this have to happen to me...?
