We Are All Just Creatures
Why does it have to matter where you're from?
Why does it have to matter how you talk?
Why does it have to matter who you love?
Why does it have to matter what color you are?
Why does it have to matter what you wear?
Why does it have to matter if you were red or blue?
Why does it have to matter what you believe?
Why does it have to matter who you want to be?
Why does it have to matter how much money you have?
Why does it have to matter how popular you are?
Why does it have to matter if you're a boy or a girl?
Why does it have to matter what you look like?
Why does it have to matter?
We're all just creatures.
We are all just creatures eating breakfast under the stars.
We are all just creatures dancing to odds sounds put together.
We are all just creatures working for pieces of small green paper.
We are all just creatures looking for another to die with.
We are all just creatures wrapping our arms around the things we love.
We are all just creatures living on a tiny rock floating in space.
We are all just creatures afraid of the absence of light.
We are all just creatures desperate to discover something new.
We are all just creatures getting dizzy from drinking old fruit.
We are all just creatures wanting to feel happy and complete.
We are all just creatures.
Just creatures with the same heart.
So why don't we treat each other like creatures?
Like creatures that are all the same.
