CHAPTER 5

Adriana needed Andy to get over his problem with her having any life without him. She was going to play nice, act as though nothing was different. She smiled and nudged him with her shoulder. "Missed you." She said scrunching her nose at him.

"Yeah? When did you find the time to miss me?" Oh wow.

"Well... Haven't really seen you much... I'm home most of the day and you're not... We both start work at five... Yet you don't seem to be around." She would turn it on him.

"Yeah, I'm the one who up and found a job..."

"Well, had you not fired me..."

"I didn't fucking fire you." He snapped. Moody...

"Well, you didn't really keep me on now did you?"

"Fuck off Adriana..." He shook his head.

"Okay well... Are you going to be this way all day?" She asked him now. "I mean, we have the whole day together..."

"Yeah, got to give you a rain check." She frowned. "Have Lara in to go over orders and shit." He said just to piss her off. Lara was coming for that, but it was nice to rub salt in the wound.

"Lara? Again?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Nothing. Maybe we can do something tomorrow." She said hating herself right now.

"Yeah maybe." He didn't look amused either.

He was busy with Lara the next day too. Adriana was finding it hard to take. He was doing this to punish her. He didn't want her to work so he was making her feel like she was alone.

Lara was a very attractive woman. Like sexy as... She had men falling for her hard. Adriana could never have that sort of confidence. Ever. She didn't know how to be that way.

So when Lara walked into the unit with Andy, Adriana felt so confused. It was just after ten in the morning. Adriana had woken up to find Andy had already left. She didn't know what the deal was...

And he showed up with fucking Lara. Lara who was giggling and had her hands on Andy.

"Oh hey... Hope we didn't wake you?" Andy asked her.

"No..." Adriana shook her head. She was sitting in the living room.

"Hey Adriana..." Lara smiled at her. Fake as you could get.

"Hi..."

"So, what's new? Heard you working at another bar?"

"Um, yeah."

"Bit of a dog act don't you think?" What?

"Is it? Why?"

"I mean... You working for his competitors..."

"Oh... Yeah. I suppose so. But he had first dibs, didn't want me... So he can't really say much." She felt like spilling her hot coffee into this bitches face.

"Yeah, Adriana here has all the answers." Andy said sitting down beside her. He kissed her head and smiled after taking her coffee.

"Is this business? Do you want me to give you two space?" She asked feeling so suffocated suddenly. She would die if Andy cheated on her. She would actually kill herself. She loved him... She found Andy when everything in her life was going to shit... She really did love him. Adriana didn't think she could handle it if he fucked around on her or told her that he no longer wanted to be with her.
