Prompt: Zane loses his keys and the reader helps him find them

      Zane rummaged through the drawer, trying to find his keys. He had wanted to go to the book store and get a new cookbook that he had been wanting to get for a while. He sighed as he fixed the contents of the drawer before closing it. He pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes as he tried to think of the last place he had seen them.

"I didn't know that Nindroids could get headaches," Y/N said, coming through the door.

"Nindroids don't get headaches. It seems that the keys have been misplaced, again," Zane corrected, lowering his hand.

"Oh. Well, I could help you look for them," Y/N offered, opening the drawer that Zane had just closed.

"Thank you Y/N. But I have already looked in that drawer."

"Okay. So where have you looked?" Y/N asked, shutting the drawer and turning around.

"I have looked in all the drawers in the kitchen, the shelves in the study, and every flat surface in the living room and game room," Zane answered,  gesturing to the fridge, "I even looked in the fridge."

"Wow, you really have looked everywhere huh?" Y/N giggled.

"Yes I have. And I can't think of anywhere else to look," Zane replied with another sigh. Y/N could tell that the missing keys was getting to Zane. He normally would have smiled at Y/N's joke, but Y/N knew that his gears would start to lock up if his stress levels did not come down soon.

"Maybe there is a few places left that you haven't checked?" Y/N suggested, taking a few steps forward and tilting their head to the side.

"Perhaps. Where would you suggest we look?"

"There's the garage, and then there is the cabinets in the game room. Maybe they were left somewhere like that," Y/N answered. Zane nodded before holding his hand out for Y/N to lead the way. Y/N nodded and walked through the door and walked down the hallway.

      Zane walked close behind Y/N as they led the way done the hallway. Y/N thought about a few different things to talk about to get his mind off the stress but decided against it, not wanting to add to the stress with conversation. As Y/N and Zane passed the front door, the glint of metal caught Y/N's eye. They turned their head and smiled as they stopped in front of the key hanger on the wall.

"Are those the keys you were looking for?" Y/N asked, pointing at the keys.

"Those weren't there an hour ago!" Zane replied, reaching for the keys and taking them off the hook.

"Well, mystery of the missing keys solved," Y/N said with a smile.

"Well detective, allow me to pay you with dinner," Zane replied with a smile. Y/N nodded, turning to get their shoes and coat.
