"alright, you sure you want to take the exam? nezu offered to automatically give you an enrollment you know" 

"im fine, plus, im really gonna have to prove myself if i come in without taking the exams since im going to be playing quirkless for a while" 

the man i had come to know as dad sighed beside me before  unlocking the car door in front of ua

"good luck on your test, if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask mic though i doubt you will since you've taken it before"

"alright, see you afterwards aizawa!"

i wave goodbye at the tired hero as i exited the car

"where the hell have you been?! and why are you here?!" i hear a voice growl behind me

i turn and see none other than the Pomeranian that had made my life a living hell for years, am i going to have to put up with that again this time? 

"what do you mean kacchan?"

"do you have any idea how worried the old hag was when you suddenly disappeared and auntie inko was killed?" geez it almost sounded as if he was the one that was worried

"sorry...i was staying with a hero that decided to take me in after the attack..i never thought of contacting you after that..."

"whatever..as long as you're okay..not that i care! it just the old hag would have killed me if you weren't!" 

what the hell is going on with kacchan?

"ok, well, wanna head in for the exam? they're extremely strict about their tardy policy you know"

"yeah sure" kacchan mumbles

he looks like he wants to say something more

"you never told me why you're here" 

"is there really a need to answer that question? i want to be a hero..we made a promise when we were younger remember? that we'd be heroes together.." 

"yeah but that was before you were quirkless.."

"i was always quirkless kacchan"

"yeah, i suppose thats true but still, you cant be a hero if you're quirkless. you'll only get hurt"

wait. is that why kacchan has been so mean all those years? was he trying to stop me from being a hero cause be didnt want me to get hurt?

"dont worry about me kacchan, i havent been doing nothing while living with erasure head, he's a pro at fighting quirkless you know, plus i still have the potential for a quirk, he took me to the doc after he got custody of me and we found out that i do have the spot in my dna for a quirk i just dont have an actual quirk there so i have the potential to get one, emergency manifestation, its happened before, in life or death situations people have gotten a quirk"

that was the cover story me and aizawa had decided on if i where to use any of my quirks in front of the class which i most likely have to do during the usj attack

"it shouldnt have to come to that" i hear kacchan whisper

i look up from my video game and see aizawa standing in my doorway

"oh yeah, his names hitoshi shinsou and his quirk is brainwash, he was originally in the gen ed course but transfered to 1-B after the sports festival however, vlad wasnt experienced in training those who fight pretty much quirkless so he quickly fell behind and ended up having to drop out. i think we can change that outcome if he gets the help he needs right off the bat" i explain as i put my Nintendo switch IV away
