"Mom! I found a girl in the forest!"

What is going on?! Were does a boy suddenly come from?,
Raskaya first needed a while to regain from the shock of the boy's sudden shout. Then he asked:

"How did you get the idea that I'm a girl?", with a doubting tone.

"You have so pretty long hair and your face is too cute. You don't look like a boy at all. Why? Are you not a girl?", the boy asked back. Raskaya was surprised and a little embarrassed at being called cute, he didn't answer immediately.

"...Well yes I am. My name is Shinra Raskaya, who are you?", Raskaya answered and added in her mind, Well I'm not exactly lying, I'm a girl at heart... also he assumed first!

"Hello I am Kirigaya Jiyura, nice to meet you!", Jiyura said while smiling at Raskaya.

After the first sentences the two exchanged Jiyura's mother finally arrived at the scene. She didn't believe that her son actually found a girl. She was absolutely sure that there were no other families living even remotely close to their new home so there was no way he really found a girl, he was probably just saying things to get his busy parent's attention. Still, worried because her son walked quite a bit away from the house as she now noticed, she walked over to get him back. She started talking before she saw Raskaya, so the two kids still heard her say:

"... seriously Jiyura you know you're not supposed to lie! If you want mommy to come and get you because you got lost then you can say so. Yes your parents are busy because we're moving in today..., but that doesn't mean..." Towards the end she just had a dumbfounded look on her face because she didn't actually consider the possibility that her son's words were indeed true.

Raskaya, who just heard Jiyura's mother talking like this and did not have any other impression of her, got somewhat angry hearing her talking with a hint of contempt and noticing that she just directly assumed that her son lies.

"Hey! Why are you assuming that your son lies like that directly?! It doesn't matter that he is your son and still a little kid, you still have to respect him! Kids don't grow up, if you don't expect them to.", while Raskaya was still shouting at first, he said the last sentence a little indignantly and at a lower volume. Being shocked at first, it took Jiyura's mother a moment to react.

"Ah, uhm... sorry Jiyura I assumed first without looking... Who are you little girl? What are you doing here?", she asked confusedly.

"I'm Raskaya. I live nearby and came here today at random and now noticed that this house belongs someone after all. I almost started thinking no one would ever live there...", Raskaya answered now pouting.
"Say Raskaya! How long do you live here? What's your family like?", shouted Jiyura excitedly.
"Huh? It's been around half a year by now, I don't have a calendar though, so I can't say for sure. And I live alone, so I do not think it matters what my family is like, right?", Raskaya replied. Jiyura was in awe while his mother just had an appalled look on her face, Who lets such a little child living all alone in the forest?! Let's see if we can take care of her then, she thought.

"Woah! You're living by yourself already? How old are you Raskaya? Can I call you Kaya-chan? Your name is so long and complicated. ", Jiyura blabbered.
"Hm? Yes, I live by myself since I last moved, so also around half a year. Before I was living with my uncle. I'm five now", and blushing out of embarrassment she said, "If you want to you can call me that...".
"Hey, I'm five too! We're the same age! But it's impressive that you are already living on your own", Jiyura answered.
His worrying mother then made the suggestion:
"How about this? Kaya-chan you can come visit us every day and eat with us if you want. You could also come and live with us if you want. I don't feel well letting a child my son's age living alone."
"Oh I guess visiting every day wouldn't hurt. It would get lonely being alone all the time at some point.", Raskaya contemplated.
"Okay, then let's all go to the house now. By the way, you can call me Aunt Manala if you want to.", Jiyura's mother said in a better mood, now that everything was settled.
"Okay, Aunt Manala", Raskaya replied with a smile and they all went to the house together.

The house was about a five minute walk away from where they were at before, so Jiyura used the opportunity to talk to Raskaya the whole way.
He told him that they moved to the house from a city where they lived before. The city however wasn't located in the kingdom which this part of the forest belonged to, Otraha, but the kingdom between Otraha and the sea. Those two kingdoms also had a close relationship because of this fact, since Otraha needed access to the sea for trade with other countries.
This other kingdom's name was Celion and it became very rich due to trade with other countries.

They were not able to get further in depth about those kingdom's relations though, because they arrived at the house then and Aunt Manala introduced Jiyura's father.

"So Kaya-chan, this is my husband and Jiyura's father, you can call him Uncle Pajurun. Now you know the whole family.", She smiled.
"And dear, so that you won't be confused, this is Raskaya a little girl we found. She's the same age as Jiyura but lives in the forest on her own. Can we take care of her?", Manala asked her husband.

Pajurun was very surprised at this. To be honest he did not expect the moving day with his family to turn out so... weird. Who would have thought that his wife and son would pick up a child living in the forest on the first day? Despite finding it weird he still agreed to take care of Raskaya. As the only adults living in the area it would be irresponsible of them not to take care of a child their son's age.

"Alright, why don't you two go play inside the house for now? We are almost done for today and food will be ready in about an hour.", Pajurun suggested.

Thus the two kids went into the living room together to spend the time there in between. The living room had a high ceiling that reached up to the first floor and you could look up into the hallway. It was very comfortable there because everything had a warm and wooden colour and the sofa and carpet were very fluffy. (Also it was actually warm inside the room.)

I know this is a stupid cut,
but I decided to first publish this part of the chapter before finishing it, because I probably won't get to continue writing regularly until May or June...
