Talking Things Out

Kid walked the whole way home with an astonished look on his face. He couldn't get Emily out of his head. He was still worried that he might have scared her. He thought she might not have even noticed him!

"Do you really think that she likes me?" Kid asked. What if she does like me?

"Well it's pretty obvious" Liz groaned.

"Ya!" Patty agreed, cheerfully.

"You're right, she must love me!" Kid shouted. "She must also love symmetry as much as me, don't you think?"
"You know, maybe one day she might even ask me out, or ask me to marry-"

"That's not what I meant" Liz groaned.

"But what if she changes her mind, what I she likes Soul more then me and-"

"You can stop now Kid" Liz said.

"I can't let that happen, I won't. What if I make it too obvious? What if she finds out that I like her so much that I want to hang her on my wall and stare at her all day and she thinks I'm weird?"

"Kid!" Liz shouted.

"Ohhhhh, this is too much to take in, I think I'll just . . . ."

Kid fell over and passed out on the floor.

"You know what that means Patty. Come help me lift him" Liz said.

"Kk!" Patty said in response.

Patty and Liz carried Kid home and propped him up on the sofa. Liz worked hard on trying to revive Kid while Patty shouted encouraging words at him.

"Sorry to say this Patty, but you're not really helping" Liz said.

"Oh"

Liz and Patty, well, Liz revived Kid and decided to go take a nap in her room. She left Patty to take care of Kid
and make him dinner.

"Do you think you can handle all of that, Patty?"

"Yep!" Patty replied.

Patty made Kid dinner and left it on his lap because he fell asleep, after he woke up. Patty knew she had to watch Kid, but she also wanted to play a game, so she hid behind the sofa so she wouldn't disturb Kid's sleeping.

"Ugh" Kid said "wherei syemily" he mumbled.

"Hi! Do you need anything!" Patty shouted, as she jumped up from behind the sofa, startling Kid.

"Eeeeeeeech!" He screamed, while jumping up and making his dinner fly everywhere.

"Sorry you spilled your dinner. I'll make you a new one!" Patty said.

"What's all the ruckus Patty, oh, Kid is awake, that explains a lot" Liz said as she walked into the living room and sat in front of Kid.

"Kid, I think we should talk about you and your lady friend.

"She's not my friend."

"Whatever."

"What I'm saying is that I see you really like her, but at the rate you're going, she'll never love you" Liz said.

"Oh, so you're going to give me some advice on getting her to love me!" Kid said happily.

"No" Liz said "I'm telling you to stay out of the poor lady's business and leave her alone forever because you and her are never happening."

"Oh, so you're telling me to never talk to her and stay-" Kid said

"Oh"
