Tobias's POV
I'm hanging out with tris today I can't wait she is amazing I love everything about her her hair her smile her laugh her eyes everything is perfect. All of the sudden my dad comes home and is screaming at me and he slowly takes off his belt and hits me with it 'til he gets his anger out. A few minutes later Beatrice comes to the door and we hang out and she takes care of the cuts on my wrist an I just realized how much that hurt.
"So your birthday is in a couple of days and I was wondering if you would like to celebrate with me, I mean secretly because you know it's considered 'selfish' to celebrate birthdays but still I don't really care." Tris says
"A ya where and when?" I asked
"Yes, o a sorry didn't mean to say that but the handcock building at 7 on Friday ok" She says sounding excited
"OK I've got to go before my dad starts wondering bye see you tomorrow"

I'm meeting Tobias at the handcock building right now and j am so excited about it. I have had this huge crush on him for 3 yrs and now he will finally know how I feel about him.
"Hey Beatrice" Tobias yells from across the room
"Hey you came"
"Of course I came you told me to" wait did he say he came for me?
"so Tobias I've been meaning to tell you this so I'm just going to say it. Okay here it goes I really like you more than just a friend and since you are going to be choosing in a couple of days ik thought I might tell you that please don't hate me"
"Oh my god tris um i like you to but I'm to old for you and I'm choosing something other than Abnegation because of my dad sorry but I can't can we just be friends"
He said. Okay don't cry tris we can still be friends.
"Ya okay that works we better go it's getting late"
"Ya let's go"
Hey guys sorry for not updating and the short chapter but it's 1030 at night and I had a track meet today and we did good we got 2nd place I the 4x100 relay and I got 3rd place in the 200 meter sprint then I got 1st in high jump and 2 in hurdles so ya I will update on Sunday j hope
